What exactly was the Immortal Tier? How did one become an Immortal?
As Liang Zhaohuang advanced into the Nascent Soul Realm and steadily progressed within it, reaching Nascent Soul Late Stage and nearing the pinnacle of mortal cultivation, the road ahead had already vanished. He had no choice but to seriously consider the matter of the Immortal Tier—what it was, and how he himself could ascend to immortality.
He was absolutely unwilling to remain trapped in the Nascent Soul Realm for his entire life, only to exhaust his lifespan and have his Dao dissipate in the end.
As for the Immortal Tier, the only ones Liang Zhaohuang had truly encountered were the Human Emperor, the Demon Emperor, and the demonic Four-Headed Demon Dragon. Even those had only been indirect encounters. He had no direct understanding of them at all, much less any knowledge of how they had advanced to the immortal and demonic level.
He merely had some conjectures regarding the Human Emperor's method of advancement. It should have something to do with the Human Way Destiny gathered by the Immortal Dynasty.
Beyond that, Liang Zhaohuang's contact with and understanding of the Immortal Tier mainly came from two sources.
The first was certain records and information he had read, containing accounts of cultivators ascending to immortality tens of thousands of years ago, before the demonic path had invaded this world.
The second was the several "immortal husks" he had seen and come into contact with.
Much of the information concerning ascended immortals from tens of thousands of years ago had been destroyed during the demonic path's invasion, leaving very little behind today. Moreover, due to that invasion, heaven and earth had changed dramatically compared to tens of thousands of years ago. The records and information left by those ascended immortals
