East of Glazed City, out in the sea roughly a hundred li from the coastline, lay an island over a hundred li across. It was thickly planted with grasses, trees, and spirit plants, and held a harbor and a city.
The island was called Wood Lotus Island, and its city was named Green Lotus City.
This island had formed when Liang Zhaohuang and the others slew the late-stage Demon King Yellow-Browed Ape King here. The Dao transformation phenomenon had eroded and warped the area, directly churning the seafloor upside down. Vast stretches of land split open into ocean trenches, while other vast stretches heaved upward into islands.
At the time, the island that rose from the seafloor and surfaced above the waves was only around ten li in size. Though it continued to slowly grow and expand under the erosion and influence of the Dao transformation phenomenon, under normal circumstances, it would have taken at least a century to take shape.
However, in order to raise the Spirit Cauldron and establish the province as soon as possible, Liang Zhaohuang and the Liang Family spent considerable resources and effort to hasten the dispersal and calming of Yellow-Browed Ape King's Dao transformation phenomenon, accelerating the island's formation.
Compared with allowing a Dao transformation phenomenon to settle naturally, artificially accelerating its dissipation had its own advantages and drawbacks.
