Background

Miyuki is a beautiful adjusted magician of the Yotsuba line, created through the Fourth Laboratory to perfectly inherit Yotsuba Miya’s talents and appearance. She is the daughter of Miya and the younger sister of Shiba Tatsuya. 249

She attends First High School alongside Tatsuya and lives next door to Mahiro after Maya Yotsuba arranges his residence there. Her connection to the Yotsuba Family initially remains concealed from their classmates. 2 40 41

Story Role

First High School and Nine Schools Competition

Miyuki begins school with Tatsuya and becomes part of Mahiro’s social circle with Erika Chiba and Mizuki Shibata. She waits for Mahiro before school and receives his promise that he will protect her in Tatsuya’s absence. 6

During the Nine Schools Competition, she struggles with distractions related to Maya and loses a match to Shizuku, who uses Cast Jamming and Mahiro’s coaching to disrupt her. After confiding in Mahiro, Miyuki regains her focus, later demonstrates flight magic, and ultimately wins Monolith Code. 49 51 257

Reunion with Miya

Mahiro resurrects Yotsuba Miya, Miyuki’s presumed-dead mother, but initially conceals this from Miyuki. 245 He eventually brings Miyuki to meet Miya during the Nine Schools Competition; Miyuki is overwhelmed with joy at their reunion and learns Mahiro was responsible for Miya’s return. 256

Miyuki and Miya subsequently watch her matches together, deepening their mother–daughter bond. 257

Yotsuba Succession
