Background

Tang San grew up in Holy Soul Village as Tang Hao's son. Before his martial soul awakening, he had cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill to a bottleneck and believed its internal energy corresponded to soul power in this world. 1

At the awakening ceremony, Xia Yuan used Empty Handed to steal Tang San's innate level-ten soul power. Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass and initially tested with no innate soul power; when he activated the Mysterious Heaven Skill for a second test, he registered only innate half-level soul power. The result left him shocked and unable to accept the loss. 1

After returning home, Tang San revealed his second martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer, to Tang Hao. Tang Hao embraced him and acknowledged him as a twin martial soul possessor, giving Tang San a long-sought sense of paternal love. 2

Three months later, Xia Yuan successfully copied Tang San's Purple Demon Eye cultivation method with Empty Handed. The two subsequently traveled with Old Jack to enroll at Notting Academy. 3

Tang San spent six years at Notting Academy under Yu Xiaogang's guidance, but his cultivation was repeatedly hindered after his soul power inexplicably vanished. Personality

Tang San reacts intensely to the disparity between his expected and tested innate soul power. He becomes resentful of Xia Yuan, concluding that Xia Yuan's innate full soul power caused his own failure to awaken at full strength. 2

He is strongly responsive to Tang Hao's approval despite Tang Hao's prior neglect. Tang Hao's willingness to pressure Old Jack over the academy placement makes Tang San feel loved and supported. 2

At Notting Academy, Tang San regards Xia Yuan with contempt, viewing Xia Yuan's full innate soul power as luck while considering his own power the product of cultivation and destiny. 6

Tang San is proud of his Tang Sect heritage and considers himself a gentleman and a righteous person who should eliminate evil. However, he is willing to employ concealed weapons and lethal poison against people he considers threats, especially those who insult or endanger Xiao Wu. 68 97 98

Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament

Under the Tang Yin identity, Tang San joins Shrek Academy's tournament team and helps defeat Heaven Dou Royal Academy's second team. Shi Nian later traps him in a devastating illusion before Tang Hao kills Shi Nian and saves him. Tang San recovers enough to defeat Canghui Academy, but Shrek's subsequent losses to Blazing Fire and Skywater Academies severely damage his confidence in Blue Silver Grass. 103 105 106 107
