Vegeta's eyes widened at once. Those eyes, usually filled with disdain, suddenly turned shocked, as if he had seen something unimaginable.
He stepped forward, his boot crunching over gravel, his voice still slightly hoarse. "You... what did you just say? You didn't even take Cell's Perfect Form seriously?"
Chen Hao did not answer directly, merely smiling faintly. The smile was not particularly arrogant, yet it carried an unfathomable confidence.
"Hmph!" Vegeta snorted coldly, his voice threatening. He moved closer, and when he stepped down, the ground cracked with a sharp crack, fine fissures spreading beneath his foot. He folded his arms across his chest, the muscles in his shoulders taut, his chin raised slightly as he looked down at Chen Hao. "How arrogant! I'd really like to see what gives you the nerve to say that. I, Vegeta, am no ordinary Saiyan. I am the strongest, far beyond Kakarot!"
Chen Hao raised an eyebrow, a trace of mockery curling at the corner of his mouth. "Kakarot? You mean Son Goku?"
"That's right." Vegeta made no effort to hide his pride. He tossed his hair, his golden bangs gleaming in the sunset. "That low-class warrior can only serve as the target I must surpass now. But you, some Saiyan who crawled out of nowhere, actually dare to—"
"Enough." Chen Hao cut him off directly. His voice was calm, yet carried an authority that could not be challenged. "Your ignorance is really starting to bore me."
Vegeta's face darkened instantly. The corner of his mouth twitched, and his fists clenched tightly, his knuckles cracking. "What did you say?!"
"I said," Chen Hao slowly raised a hand and pointed at Vegeta, "you have no idea what true strength is. You keep talking about surpassing this and surpassing that, yet you cannot even see the danger right in front of you. And you dare call yourself the strongest?"
BOOM!
A golden aura suddenly erupted from Vegeta's body, lighting up the entire field.
The surrounding rubble was blasted into the air by the shockwave. The ground shook violently, cracks spreading outward in every direction. His hair instantly turned golden, each strand rising in the blazing aura, and his entire presence surged to another level.
"Super Saiyan!" Trunks cried out. "Dad, wait—"
But Vegeta was in no mood to listen. Golden light burned in his eyes as he roared and stomped down hard, smashing a deep crater into the ground. Like a golden cannonball, he shot toward Chen Hao, terrifying power wrapped around his fist. The air around it warped from the heat, while golden arcs of electricity crackled endlessly.
Chen Hao remained where he stood, that faint smile still lingering on his lips.
Just as Vegeta's fist was about to strike him, Chen Hao slowly raised his right hand and opened his palm—
Smack!
A sharp, crisp sound echoed across the field.
Vegeta only saw a flash before an irresistible force struck him squarely across the face. His body spun once in midair, and his golden aura vanished instantly. His eyes were wide as he stared fixedly at Chen Hao's unchanged, calm expression.
The next second, Vegeta flew backward like an out-of-control meteor, smashing through several walls behind him. Stone fragments flew everywhere, dust filled the air, and a human-shaped hole was left in the walls. He finally slammed into the ground outside, gouging out a massive crater as cracks spread around it like a spiderweb.
The silence that followed was terrifying.
Trunks stared dumbfounded at everything before him, his mouth hanging open without a sound. His father—the Saiyan prince who bowed to no one—had actually been sent flying with a single slap.
