"Gogeta, come quick! That planet over there is so strange—it has a super huge tree on it!!!"
Tights shouted by the window.
Hearing this, Gogeta also walked over to the window. Looking at the incomparably massive tree on the distant planet, he rubbed his chin.
"It feels kind of familiar."
"Ding. A system mission has now been issued."
"Mission Objective: Defeat Turles and save the surviving humans."
"Mission Reward: Tree of Might seed, 10 Senzu Beans."
"Mission Failure: Seal all of the host's strength for one day."
The system, which had been silent for a long time, finally came online and issued its first mission.
Oh? A mission. The rewards were a Tree of Might seed and ten Senzu Beans—not bad.
It seemed that enormous tree was the Tree of Might. A planet on which the Tree of Might was planted would have all its vital energy drained away, showing no signs of life for centuries. It might even cause the planet's destruction.
"Let's go down and take a look, Tights," Gogeta said.
"Won't it be dangerous? That tree doesn't look like anything good." Tights did not agree right away. She had traveled through space for a long time, so she had enough sense to recognize danger.
"That thing poses no threat to me, but the person who planted it may be one of our Saiyan race. We can't let someone like that keep destroying things everywhere," Gogeta explained.
"All right, then. I can gather material while we're at it. Maybe it'll make my novel a huge hit." At that, Tights looked eager to give it a try.
So Tights flew the spacecraft down toward that planet.
After landing, Tights turned the spacecraft into a capsule, then took out another capsule and turned it into an airplane.
Along the way, the surrounding land was nothing but cracked earth and yellow sand. It seemed the Tree of Might's fruit was about to ripen, and this planet was nearly drained dry.
The Tree of Might could be seen from afar. Explosions and smoke filled the surrounding area. It looked like the natives of this planet were fighting Turles's group, though the situation was not looking good for the natives.
"Damn it! Why can't we destroy that tree?!!!" In a huge room, a group of people watched a large screen. The man standing at the front spoke.
"Is our planet really going to be destroyed?"
"No, send out more troops! We have to eliminate that tree and those people!"
"That group is too powerful! Our weapons are useless against them—we can't hit them at all!"
The group argued incessantly. Their conflicting opinions created disputes, and the scene was chaotic.
Meanwhile, Gogeta and Tights had already arrived near the Tree of Might. Turles noticed them as well, and he was somewhat curious. There were still people who weren't afraid of death and dared to come over?
Suddenly, his pupils contracted. He saw Gogeta stepping down from the airplane, and Turles immediately noticed the tail swaying freely behind him.
"A Saiyan? Weren't all the Saiyans wiped out when Planet Vegeta exploded? Why is there a Saiyan here?"
Countless thoughts flashed through Turles's mind.
Looking at Turles, Gogeta sighed.
"He really does look like Kakarot. Same crab-like hair, but a completely different temperament. Kakarot has a trace of foolishness in his clear eyes, while Turles is evil and cold. If Kakarot hadn't hit his head, he might have become like this too."
While Gogeta was musing, Turles had already stepped right in front of him. Tights looked at the two Saiyans before her and felt that they were completely different. Gogeta merely stood there quietly, yet she could sense his confident, wild, and powerful aura. Perhaps that was what attracted her to him.
As for Turles, one look was enough to tell that he was no good. His gaze was vicious, and he had the air of someone who thought himself invincible. He really deserved a beating.
"Hey, you're a Saiyan too, right? Want to make a big score with me?" Turles pointed at the Tree of Might behind him. "That thing can rapidly increase your strength. As long as you work with me, I can give you some."
His underlings were immediately displeased.
"Hey, hey, boss, that thing doesn't produce many fruits to begin with. Now you want to share them with him too? We don't agree to that."
Several other companions chimed in as well.
"Yeah, boss. Let us take him out."
After saying that, they charged forward. One threw a punch, but Gogeta easily dodged it. The underling refused to accept it and continued attacking. Gogeta answered with a backhanded punch to his stomach, sending him straight to the ground, where he howled in pain.
"I'm telling you, there's no need to send your lackeys to test me. Small fry like you can be dealt with using one hand."
Gogeta spoke confidently.
"You've got quite the mouth. You lot, attack him together," Turles ordered the remaining men.
The underlings immediately rushed forward. Gogeta shook his head and raised a hand, firing several energy blasts that sent them on their way. Neither Turles nor his men were good people, so Gogeta showed them no mercy.
Seeing several of his underlings instantly defeated, even Turles could tell that Gogeta was not someone to provoke.
"As long as you join forces with me, with the Tree of Might, ruling the universe will be just around the corner."
Turles still refused to give up.
Gogeta did not want to listen at all. He instantly teleported in front of Turles and punched him in the stomach, smashing him straight into the Tree of Might.
"Since you like the Tree of Might so much, disappear along with it."
With that, Gogeta gathered an energy blast and fired it directly at Turles.
A massive explosion rang out. The Tree of Might was destroyed by Gogeta's single energy blast, and Turles went to meet the King of Hell along with his underlings.
Gogeta came to stand in front of Tights, shielding her from the blast wave and flying debris caused by the explosion.
After the Tree of Might was destroyed, it turned into specks of life energy and returned to the planet. New plants began to grow across the world, water reappeared in the lakes and rivers, and countless animals regained their homes. They threw back their heads and howled in excitement, celebrating the happiness they had thought lost forever.
At that moment, a large formation of planes flew in from the distance and landed rapidly on the ground. A group of people emerged and jogged all the way to Gogeta. The leader bowed respectfully and said, "Arigato."
The people behind him bowed as well.
"Arigato~"
Gogeta replied calmly, "It was nothing. No need to be so polite."
"To you, it may have been a trivial gesture, but to us, it is a blessing beyond measure. Please allow us to invite you and your companion to dine at the royal palace."
Mention food, and Gogeta immediately perked up. In his previous life, he had been a foodie and had planned to taste every delicacy China had to offer. Before he could fulfill that goal, he had transmigrated. Now that he was in the Dragon Ball world, he intended to eat his way across the entire universe.
The group arrived at the royal palace and passed through without obstruction. They entered a great hall where an enormous table was piled high with every kind of food imaginable. Gogeta's mouth watered at the sight. Unable to wait any longer, he strode over and started eating.
The way he ate made Tights clutch her head in embarrassment. It was humiliating enough to disgrace himself—did he have to disgrace her too?
The others were left staring in stunned silence, then hurriedly called for the kitchen to prepare more food.
