After spending a few days sightseeing on that planet, Gogeta and Tights set off on a new journey.
Gogeta returned to the dull life aboard the spaceship.
One day, Tights received a message from her younger sister Bulma. It said that an alien had come to Earth some time ago. Although he had been defeated, he had left behind a message before dying, claiming that his companions would arrive on Earth in a year and that Earth would be doomed then. Bulma asked whether her sister knew any powerful fighters who could help.
The message also described the alien's features in detail.
After receiving the message, Tights went straight to Gogeta to ask him about it. Since the alien's characteristics matched Gogeta's, Tights thought he might have been a Saiyan.
"Hmm, a tailed human with black hair and an arrogant, overbearing personality... there's a high chance he was a Saiyan."
After hearing Tights's description, Gogeta answered.
So the story had reached the point where Raditz arrived on Earth. From this stage onward, power levels began skyrocketing. By the time they reached Namek, Goku's power level had soared directly from ninety thousand to one hundred and fifty million in just one day. Truly terrifying. All one could say was that heaven favored the protagonist. If the king had done a few push-ups while fighting, Kakarot would have been dead long ago.
The king had reached the power Goku possessed after thirty-nine years in just four months. His talent could only be described in four words: utterly terrifying.
"Don't worry. Those two aren't even as strong as Turles, the one we met before."
Only after hearing that did Tights finally put aside her anxiety.
Turles's power level had been at least twenty or thirty thousand. When Vegeta arrived on Earth, his power level had only been eighteen thousand, while Nappa's was not even ten thousand.
"If you're still worried, we can make a trip back to Earth when the time comes."
With Gogeta's assurance, Tights no longer worried. She had witnessed Gogeta's strength herself; Earth's crisis would be easy for him to resolve.
"However, don't tell them yet. Under the threat of death, it'll be easier to awaken their potential."
Half a month later, Gogeta and Tights arrived at a yellow planet—Planet Yardrat. That was right, Planet Yardrat. Gogeta wanted to learn Spirit Control from the elders here.
During the Moro arc, Vegeta had trained here for a while and had been able to pound Moro into the ground. Although he still lost later, that did not diminish the strength of the Yardratians.
The spaceship landed beside a city. A group of Yardratians emerged from within it—green, pink, and blue ones alike. They held weapons in their hands and watched Gogeta and Tights warily.
One of them spoke.
"A Saiyan? Have you come to attack us?"
Seriously, the Saiyans' reputation in the universe was terrible. Everywhere they went, people treated them as enemies.
"No, no, no. I'm not here to invade. Besides, the Saiyans were all wiped out by Frieza. How could we invade anyone else's planet?" Gogeta explained.
"I came here to learn."
Upon hearing that they had come to learn, the Yardratians all put away their weapons.
The Yardratians were quite famous among the nearby planets, and they were hospitable as well. Sometimes people came here specifically to learn from them, so they had seen this sort of thing many times.
The little green one among them said, "Then come with me to meet the elder."
The little green one led the two of them to a house. He knocked on the door and said, "Elder Pibara, someone has come to learn."
"Come in," a voice came from inside.
After entering, they saw a huge blue Yardratian sitting on the floor.
"These are the guests who have come to learn," the little green one introduced. "This is Mr. Gogeta, and this is Ms. Tights."
"This is Elder Pibara. All outsiders learn from Elder Pibara." With that, he turned and left.
"Young man, I can sense the powerful strength within you, but your control over that power is still quite crude."
Elder Pibara saw Gogeta's problem at a glance.
"That's exactly why I came here to learn from you," Gogeta said.
And so, Gogeta stayed on Planet Yardrat.
In the blink of an eye, half a year passed.
"Gogeta, I never expected your talent to be this good. In just half a year, you've trained Spirit Control to such a degree that even I am ashamed of my inferiority."
That was right. In half a year, Gogeta had trained Spirit Control to a level beyond Elder Pibara's and learned all the other techniques as well. All that could be said was that the talent the system had given him from Vegito was simply absurd.
Over those six months, Gogeta focused on studying diligently, while Tights learned about all kinds of legends in the universe and the powerful beings within it from Elder Pibara.
Seeing Tights's thirst for knowledge, Elder Pibara told her everything he knew.
Using Gogeta as her inspiration, Tights wrote a novel titled Legends of the Universe. It told the story of a young girl traveling through the universe who met a powerful person on a planet. The two then went on adventures together, grew stronger and stronger, and ultimately became legends of the universe.
Now, Gogeta and Tights were preparing to leave. Gogeta had learned almost everything he could; the rest could only be comprehended through battle.
"Goodbye, Elder Pibara. If anything happens in the future, feel free to contact me anytime."
Watching the spaceship depart, Elder Pibara sighed. "Gogeta's potential is unfathomable. The universe will surely remember his legend."
Meanwhile, on Snake Way, on a tiny planet, Goku had just arrived at King Kai's Planet that day. It had taken Goku nearly half a year to reach King Kai's Planet, leaving him only another half year to train.
King Kai had said that there were still one hundred and fifty-eight days until Vegeta and Nappa arrived on Earth. Goku had to adapt to ten times gravity during that time and learn both the Kaio-ken and the Spirit Bomb.
Meanwhile, Earth's fighters were receiving guidance from Kami and Popo at Kami's Lookout.
Gohan and Piccolo were training in the wilderness. Honestly, Piccolo really was the Son family's babysitter. He was looking after Gohan now, and in the later movies, he would be driving Pan to and from school, even learning how to use a phone for it—all without pay. A complete sucker.
Now, there were less than six months left until the Saiyans arrived on Earth.
After a long journey, Gogeta and Tights finally reached Earth.
"Woohoo, we're finally here!"
Gogeta looked at Earth outside the window and said excitedly. This boring trip had nearly driven him insane. When he got back to Earth this time, he absolutely had to make Bulma build a new spaceship. When Tights designed this ship, she had only considered herself. It was not built very large, and its interior layout was meant for Tights to write novels in. There was practically no room for Gogeta to move around.
West City, Bulma's home.
Bulma was currently improving the scouter Raditz had left behind. After taking it apart, she discovered that it actually contained a listening device, scaring her into a cold sweat.
She hurriedly tried to contact Krillin and the others, but they were all training at Kami's Lookout and could not be reached.
