"As far as I know, Ashiya Doman was a notable Asian figure worthy of biography. He truly deserved that distinction. He belonged to neither the Kamo clan nor the Abe family, but was an onmyoji of the Harima school who wandered among the common people. In the surviving ancient texts, Ashiya Doman was often described as the only opponent capable of rivaling Abe no Seimei."

After giving it some thought, Sherlock continued, "But as I understand it, Abe no Seimei was an absolutely righteous great wizard in Japan, whereas Ashiya Doman was the evil onmyoji most admired by Japanese wizards. Abe no Seimei's greatest enemy was also Ashiya Doman. Yet I do not understand why an evil wizard would wield such tremendous influence in Japan, especially after having been dead for centuries."
