After joining the academy and meeting Kong Deming and Ghost Nana’s family, Yan traveled north for soul rings and encountered Snow Empress training Su Tong.

• Snow Empress arranged for Rain Crane to find an Emeraldsong Rain Crane to sacrifice for Yan Hongchen, and Yan gained its soul ring and azure wings before returning south with Jing Hongchen’s family.
• Yan Hongchen explained Liu Yueming’s frozen sea of spirit and proposed that she build up spiritual power above the ice while he searched for a safe treatment.
• Yan Hongchen and Xiao Hongchen formed the Phantom Water Golden Body fusion skill, and the family later entered seclusion and prepared for academy life.
