Let us turn back time a little.

While Luo Ze had still been asleep on his ship, a piece of information reached the Dog Town Marine branch.

The Marine who received the report was instantly shaken. He hurriedly set aside his other work and rushed toward the branch office.

Yate was the highest-ranking officer among the Marines in Dog Town. He held the rank of colonel, though his strength was nothing remarkable. He could only throw his weight around in the West Blue. If he entered the Grand Line, he probably would not survive for long.

Since the Marine had information to report, he naturally had to find the highest-ranking officer of the Marine branch. He arrived outside Yate's office and lightly knocked on the door with his fingers, producing a crisp sound.

"Come in." Yate's sharp voice sounded from inside.

The Marine pushed open the wooden office door with one hand and quickly walked in.

Yate was a slightly overweight man. At that moment, he sat red-faced in his chair, with a seductive woman with long golden hair seated on his thigh.

Seeing the Marine enter, Yate showed no concern at all. He casually glanced at him and asked, "What is it? Why do you look so flustered?"

The Marine's gaze lingered on the blonde woman for a second, a trace of greed flashing deep in his eyes. But he quickly came to his senses and carefully reported the information to Yate.

Yate's expression quickly darkened.

"What did you say? Luo Ze killed ten pirates with bounties in the tens of millions and is coming to our branch to collect the rewards?"

Yate snorted, his tone turning hostile.

Those pirates really were all useless trash. They had actually been wiped out by a single pirate hunter.

Ten pirates worth tens of millions each? The bounties had to add up to several hundred million! Where was a mere Marine branch supposed to get that much money?

"You may leave first." With this happening, Yate lost all interest. He shoved the woman off his lap with one hand, pulled up his zipper, and ordered her to leave.

The woman gave Colonel Yate a resentful look before reluctantly getting down. As she left, she flirtatiously winked at the Marine.

"Colonel, what do we do now?" The Marine greedily watched the woman's retreating figure before asking Yate once she had fully left.

"What do we do? What do we do? How should I know what you idiots are supposed to do? A bunch of useless trash. I always tell you to train properly, improve your strength, catch more pirates, and stop letting the other Marine branches laugh at us! But what about you? You haven't caught even half of one, and now that pirate hunter has killed them all. Our Dog Town Marine branch is completely humiliated now!"

Yate was furious. He glared coldly at the Marine and unleashed a stream of curses.

The Marine stood obediently in place without saying a word. Having worked under Yate for so many years, he understood his temper well. At a time like this, he just had to stand there and take the scolding.

"Hmph! Find some capable Marines in the branch, take a warship, and patrol around Dog Town. The moment you spot that pirate hunter, bombard him to death. Don't give him any chance," Yate said coldly.

"Marine money isn't so easy to take. He dared to make me lose face, so he has to pay the price." Yate sneered, then added, "Oh, right. After killing him, bring back the heads of all the pirates he killed. That's quite a bit of merit."

"Yes, Colonel Yate." The Marine respectfully gave Yate a military salute, acknowledged the order, then turned and left.

"Heh heh, Luo Ze, was it? What a little treasure-bringer. I was just worrying about not having any achievements to submit..." Yate muttered with a cold laugh.

Elsewhere.

Outside Dog Town, Luo Ze's ship rocked violently across the sea.

The ship's engine had broken down long ago, and it could not move. That warship kept firing shells at Luo Ze. Though he could barely hold the situation together, who knew how many shells they had brought? If this kept up, he would sooner or later be blown to death by them.

"Damn Marines. Sooner or later, I'll make you pay."

Luo Ze was irritated. His ship had cost a staggering thirty million Beli, yet these Marines had wrecked it just like that. It felt like his heart was bleeding.

"They have to compensate me." Luo Ze snorted. He grabbed the huge sack of heads, tightly secured it to his back, then stepped into empty air and flew upward.

"Moonwalk!"

Luo Ze snorted. Fortunately, he had learned Moonwalk long ago. Otherwise, he might have been buried at sea today.

"Sergeant Pulian! Luo Ze is flying! What do we do?"

When the Marines aboard the warship saw Luo Ze suddenly take flight through the air, they all widened their eyes in disbelief as though they had seen a ghost, shouting at Sergeant Pulian.

These Marines were merely lowly grunts from the South Blue. They had never left the South Blue in their lives and knew very little, so they did not recognize the so-called Navy Six Powers.

"Moonwalk? How does this damned pirate hunter know the Navy Six Powers?"

Pulian was a sergeant who had received Marine training, and his knowledge far surpassed that of the ordinary grunts. He recognized Luo Ze's technique at once, and his expression became extremely grim.

He carried a huge white sack on his back and coldly stared at the large group of Marines.

Luo Ze was furious right now. He had been attacked for no reason and had nearly been buried at sea. He was so angry that he almost wanted to start cutting people down.

The Marines instinctively took several steps back. When Luo Ze glared at them, they felt as though they had been targeted by a savage beast, cold sweat running down their backs.

They had all heard of Luo Ze's vicious reputation.

Because Luo Ze was extremely bloodthirsty. Moreover, every person he killed died horribly, and even their corpses were never left intact.

"Give me an explanation."

Luo Ze stood where he was, glaring coldly at the marines like a lion on the verge of going berserk, filling them with fear.

Pulian's gaze turned icy. Drawing his longsword, he led the marines in an attack on Luo Ze.

"Hmph, courting death."

Luo Ze snorted coldly and stomped the ground, his figure vanishing in an instant.

When he reappeared, he was already behind Pulian. He held his longsword against Pulian's neck and said coldly, "I'll say it one more time. Give me an explanation."
