The Evolution of the Sanctuary

When fog blankets the world and eldritch monsters howl outside the windows, every player huddles trembling inside a dilapidated shelter. Bai Yi, however, is transported onto the face of the great entity known as the "Lord of Flesh." There, he witnesses a horrific feast as an even more terrifying being devours the flesh-covered planet-and the scraps of flesh and shattered bone splattering off the Lord become Bai Yi's only starter pack.

Some upgrade their shelters with mysterious tree seeds, hoping to cultivate a World Tree. Others use unknown statues, seeking to establish a great church. Still others use hallucinatory objects, attempting to overwrite reality with lies.

Bai Yi instead fuses endlessly proliferating flesh and bone with his shelter, creating a Shelter of Flesh and Bone uniquely his own!

On the day his shelter upgrades, grotesque white bones rise to support walls of churning flesh. A translucent membrane covers their surface, revealing the writhing network of blood vessels beneath. A newly grown mat of fleshy mycelium blankets the floor, with squirming tentacles sprouting from it now and then.

"This thing... really counts as a shelter?"

Staring at the shelter, now completely transformed into flesh and bone, Bai Yi swallows hard.

No matter what we become, the very idea of humanity will never perish.

Everything we do is for humanity's survival!

In an apocalypse, death is inevitable. Expect some heartbreaking moments.

The protagonist is among the strongest, but never overwhelmingly stronger than everyone else. This is a team-focused story: the protagonist cannot do everything, and this is not a lighthearted read.
