Maria raised the point obliquely.
Dole stroked his chin. They were proving their own strength to him.
After only a brief thought, he took out the Water of Life and said, "Then let's make the trade. The quantity is rather large this time." He took out another sheet of paper, placed it lightly on the table, and pushed it before Maria. "I need these materials. Also, I need two finished biological cultivation tanks."
He could actually refine them himself, but his current identity did not permit it. Once the Sacred Scarab clone was ready, he could infiltrate the ranks of alchemists and proceed slowly. Then he would no longer need to sneak around like this.
Ryder and Maria's eyes lit up at those words, and they immediately came to a mutual understanding.
This Wizard called Dole really did know a few tricks.
Biological cultivation tanks had countless uses, but most Wizards used them to cultivate various creatures and conduct all kinds of biological experiments. Yet no matter what biological experiment one conducted, it had to be reported to the Professional Association. Clearly, this fellow had no intention of filing a report.
This was also one way Dole was testing them, as well as giving them a hold over him. That way, everyone could trade with far greater peace of mind in the future.
Ryder nodded directly. "Certainly. When you come next time, you can take them away. Rest assured about the quality—we'll find the best alchemists."
Dole nodded.
After counting the life potions, buying some potion ingredients, and paying the deposit, he had almost no money left.
Miserable.
Just as Dole was about to leave, he suddenly sensed an exceedingly faint force being released from the deepest part of the Evergreen Tree, drifting gently toward him.
Dole sensed it, but
