If it was only this little thing, it would be easy enough to deal with. Besides, it was merely watching him and had not attacked.

Just then, the hellhound suddenly turned and ran, seemingly afraid of the aura emanating from Aphelius.

Aphelius froze. Was it really that simple?

He slowly flew forward and soon passed through the forest. He encountered no obstruction at all; everything he came across moved aside on its own, offering no resistance.

After all, he was at the law level, and his was a destructive law at that. His aura was immensely powerful, enough to make any creature here retreat.

This was already his sixth day since entering.

He slowly made his way into the mountains. Before long, the sky brightened; the forest had vanished, revealing the clear heavens.

Before him stood an enormous spherical barrier of light, shrouding the entire mountaintop. Nothing inside could be seen, hidden by the radiance.

Aphelius strained to make out what lay within, but he was soon drawn to what lay outside the barrier. His eyes immediately filled with terror.

Across the ground outside the spherical barrier lay the bones of all kinds of Magic Beasts, strewn everywhere. Some skeletons were incomparably massive—a single bone alone stood taller than a three-story building, making for a horrifying sight.

Yet they were already dead, and they had died without a sound.

Aphelius's heart tightened. Only then did he notice that the area around the barrier seemed to be an enormous battlefield. The creatures that had arrived before him appeared to have all died here.

Beneath those bones, he sensed intensely powerful energy auras. They were emanating from the things those beings had left behind after death. From several of them, he even sensed traces of divinity.
