Chapter 833: Soil
How could Augustine possibly have time to look at all that? In one breath, he cast a full ten Light Spells, sending them shooting into the dark cavern.
There were several more Light Spells within the cave. A figure floated in midair, busily working away against the wall, seemingly collecting something.
Augustine hurriedly looked toward the wall. That glance was nothing—but after seeing it, his eyes nearly split with fury.
Spatial Calamity Pearls of all sizes studded the wall, and some of them had already vanished.
"Damn it, Dole, stop!" he roared furiously, then flew inside with lightning speed and began collecting them as well.
Dole merely glanced back when he heard him, then paid him no further attention.
You want me to stop? Do you have what it takes?
The two silently gathered the pearls, deliberately drawing closer to each other as they did.
Dole knew what Augustine was thinking and did not care. So long as he dared make a move, Dole would immediately show him what he was capable of.
Augustine still had one trump card left, a life-saving measure. As he approached Dole, he took it out.
No matter what, he could not let the other man take first place. He knew that the reward for first place was exceedingly generous. Setting aside promotions and titles, the resources alone were vast beyond measure. So long as he could rob Dole, it would all become his.
Just as the two were about to close in on each other, Augustine suppressed his injuries and suddenly pulled out an alchemical device, throwing it at Dole.
Though Dole had been watching the positions of the Spatial Calamity Pearls around him, his mental power was immense. Sparing even the tiniest fraction of it to keep watch over Augustine
