Nightmare had thought everything through clearly. That was why he had spared no cost to invade the old black dragon—and succeeded.
Disguised as if he had come out for a stroll, Nightmare swayed his way to the Dragon Tomb.
This was a place of memories, somewhat different from reality.
It was an enormous black valley with little defense around it. After all, the old black dragon probably did not know what defenses lay nearby either. Nightmare lingered at the valley entrance for a moment, then walked straight in.
In the distant river, Dole knew the show was about to begin.
He had just discussed it with the old black dragon. They only needed to imagine a single old black dragon corpse here. What he wanted was for those black dragons to deal with the evidence of Nightmare, not to conjure up a pile of black dragon corpses and get strung up and beaten for it.
The old black dragon's mind turned quickly as well. Though he had never visited the Dragon Tomb, he had filled in part of the imagined details. In any case, Nightmare Patriarch had never gone there to inspect it, and he could not possibly communicate with the other black dragons to ask where the dead patriarchs had been buried. Not to mention that the old black dragon whose body he occupied already knew—if he asked, it would surely arouse the other black dragons' vigilance.
At that moment, the old black dragon who had been mining charged toward the patriarchs' location with lightning speed.
Though he had rushed over, he did not act rashly. There was still no movement from Nightmare Patriarch's side. The old black dragon would only make his move after Nightmare truly refined the undead black dragon.
Meanwhile, atop the black mountain, Nightmare Patriarch
