He swallowed the spell in a single gulp. The sight terrified everyone around him; some were so frightened they collapsed straight to the ground, faces deathly pale, eyes wide as though they had witnessed the most bizarre thing in the world.
Disbelief welled up in every heart. Zhang Feng was at the sixth level of Qi Condensation, his cultivation surpassing Su Hao's, yet Su Hao had swallowed his spell in one mouthful.
Not only were they stunned—even Zhang Feng himself was utterly shocked, seized by a sense of unreality. He seriously felt as though he were dreaming, that none of this was real.
But as Su Hao strode toward him, carrying an icy killing intent, Zhang Feng immediately snapped awake. He understood with perfect clarity that everything before his eyes was real.
"Die!"
Su Hao roared. His eyes were crimson and bloodshot, his murderous intent erupting like a volcano—nothing could stop it.
His fist blasted out like a mountain collapsing and waters bursting through a dam, the thunderous impact deafening.
"Bang!"
A muffled thunderclap rang out. Zhang Feng was immediately forced back, his blood and qi churning violently. In his horror, he pointed forward with one hand, and a long sword whistled forth.
The sword was three feet long and silver in color, nimble as a flood dragon. It was a mid-grade spiritual artifact named Silver Dragon.
The instant the sword emerged, countless Sword Qi surged forth, dense as raindrops. Amid that rain of Sword Qi floated blossoms—silver petals rising and falling among the downpour, making the Sword Qi even sharper and more concentrated.
A sword Dao spell—the Rainflower Flying Sword Art!
"Destroy!"
Su Hao's expression remained unchanged. His long hair whipped in the wind as he strode forward, flamboyant and domineering. The green sword shrieked out, its sword soul trembling violently within it as it too scattered countless strands of Sword Qi. Ghostly faces appeared amid the Sword Qi, sharp and vicious.
A sword Dao spell: Sword Ghost Soul Devouring!
The ghostly faces collided with the flying blossoms, setting off explosive booms. The silver and green swords tangled like two flood dragons, clashing endlessly with clanging strikes that sent sparks flying.
At that moment, Su Hao had already crossed over and appeared before Zhang Feng once more. Those blood-red eyes were as savage as a demon king's; a single glance was enough to chill one to the soul.
"Die!"
Su Hao roared again. A flaming lotus rose from his palm and surged forward. Terrifying heat waves billowed like an incoming tide, cracking the ground and splitting it with dreadful fissures.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Countless people around them immediately retreated. That terrifying heat made them feel as though they were standing in a sea of flames, gripped by the horror of being burned to ashes.
Zhang Feng was even more terrified, his face pale as he confronted a great crisis of life and death. He dared not hesitate. Stomping fiercely on the ground, he retreated at once. At the same time, he reached out through the air and seized his blood brother, Zhang Yuan, flinging him in front of himself as a shield.
"Big Brother!"
Zhang Yuan was horrified and immediately let out a miserable howl, but it was already too late. The flaming lotus engulfed him like a monstrous demonic beast and swallowed him whole. Amid his screams, he was burned into charcoal.
Burned alive!
In the face of mortal danger, Zhang Feng did not hesitate to sacrifice his own blood brother. No matter how close the bond, in his eyes it was merely a tool to be used. Such a man was selfish to the extreme.
He exploded backward, pushing his movement technique to its limit. Su Hao was too terrifying, far beyond his expectations—enough to kill any one of them in an instant.
Yet though he was fast, Su Hao flicked his sleeve, and a whirlwind appeared beneath his feet, supporting his body as if lifting him off the ground. In the blink of an eye, he caught up.
"Touch my brother, and you will surely die!"
Su Hao shouted coldly. He activated the Gale Art, and his fist crashed down in fury, striking Zhang Feng squarely in the back as he fled. Zhang Feng spat out a mouthful of blood and screamed so piercingly it tore at the heart, his body hurtling forward.
At last, he fell face-first onto the ground and crawled forward like a dog.
Su Hao strode over and stamped down on his back. The immense force was as heavy as a mountain. Zhang Feng's bones broke with cracking sounds; he felt his internal organs twisting, about to shatter apart, the agony unbearable.
"I am Elder Liu's registered disciple. If you kill me, you will not die well." Zhang Feng forced out several words, blood gushing wildly from his mouth. He invoked the elder's name to threaten Su Hao, hoping to spare his life.
"No matter who you are, you must die!" Su Hao roared. He raised his foot and stomped down viciously. Amid a spray of blood, a huge bloody hole appeared in Zhang Feng's back.
He did not die. Instead, he continued to suffer agonizing torment. Like Lin Yaoyao, he was left wishing for death but unable to die.
"Bang!"
Su Hao stamped down a second time. Zhang Feng's miserable howls shook the heavens, and the blood he spewed out carried fragments of his internal organs.
It hurt—hurt deep into his soul.
The faces of those around them turned pale. Looking at Su Hao, they truly saw a demon king. Some immediately fled farther away, afraid they might provoke Su Hao here and suffer his merciless torture.
"Bang!"
Su Hao's third stomp landed. Zhang Feng's voice grew weak, his eyes bulging wide with endless despair and terror.
"The living hell my brother endured, I have returned to you. Now, you may be on your way." Su Hao's voice was cold and merciless, like the judgment of the god of death. He raised his foot as spiritual power surged with a howl—this was a killing blow!
"Stop!"
At that moment, violent winds surged in the distance, and a figure raced over at incredible speed. His cold shout was like a heaven-shaking divine thunderbolt, brimming with boundless dominance.
The onlookers were immediately drawn to him. As they watched the approaching figure, wariness appeared on their faces at once.
"It's Senior Brother Feng, Elder Liu's formal disciple—and Zhang Feng's senior brother."
"Good thing he arrived in time. Otherwise, Zhang Feng would certainly have died."
"That's right. Senior Brother Feng appearing now means Elder Liu must have sent him to rescue Zhang Feng. With the elder's orders, that kid definitely won't dare strike."
"He absolutely won't dare. How could a disciple dare oppose an elder? An elder holds the power of life and death over disciples—unless that kid truly wants to die."
The people around them discussed it among themselves. Some looked toward Su Hao again, believing he would surely stop at once, trembling with fear, perhaps even kneeling to welcome him.
But at a single glance, their expressions changed drastically once more.
From beginning to end, Su Hao had not even raised his head, as if he had not heard Senior Brother Feng's shout. His foot lifted, spiritual power surging to the extreme, carrying explosive wind and thunder as it stomped down fiercely.
"Pfft!"
Blood sprayed in every direction, chunks of flesh flew through the air, and a body was crushed beneath Su Hao's foot into several pieces, a miserable sight beyond compare.
Zhang Feng was dead—without even a whole corpse left behind!
"Impudent!"
Only then did Senior Brother Feng rush over. Looking at Zhang Feng, already dead beyond all hope, his face immediately darkened as boundless fury shot toward Su Hao.
"Get lost, or die!"
Su Hao's reply was simple and direct. Today, he was truly enraged. He had only just entered the sect, yet Lin Yaoyao had nearly been crippled. He needed everyone to know that Su Hao was not someone to be bullied.
Touch his brother, and not even the Heavenly King himself could save you!
Come one, kill one!
