Everything felt like a dream.

He had come to a strange world full of hopes and expectations and met some bizarre foreign creatures. His exploration had barely begun, and he had not even seen the origin point of this malformed, growing world that Barry and Danton had spoken of, before Black Wizards appeared and everything changed.

What had been pitch-black just moments ago was now filled with Gubos-or, more precisely, tall Mushroom People of all different kinds.

Ruger looked around as he walked slowly along. These towering Mushroom People were everywhere. Gubo, who was somewhat taller than an ordinary person, did not even reach their shoulders.

The Mushroom People hummed, making squelching noises as they walked. They were not members of the true Mushroom Person race like Gubo. They belonged to the Rainbow Mushroom Wizard Academy, Spell Soldiers cultivated by the Wizard Academy-what had been called dependent races and followers during the Great Conquest Era.

Some Mushroom People fell from the sky, while others emerged from the ground of the Small World. Clearly, some of the things Lady Dati had scattered during her ceaseless running earlier had been meant for this very moment.

The tall mushroom soldiers all looked quite happy. They marched in orderly ranks amid squeaky cries, and some cast curious glances at Ruger as they passed.

Ruger put away the notebook he used specifically to record Arcane Imprints. He and Gubo had just exchanged theirs.

With the special stationery sold by the Messenger, they could write their friends a letter that wasted magic stones, as long as they were somewhere with a Teleportation Array.

Many Wizards had gathered here.
