Drip, drip! Splash, splash!
A strange rabbit hummed an unpleasant tune, holding a small watering can as it tirelessly watered the plants. Its lively eyes brimmed with anticipation.
The surroundings were lush and green, yet this was not some wilderness. It looked more like a greenhouse; paintings even hung on the distant walls. It was unexpectedly tall and spacious, with several trees growing inside. Rabbit Tuzel was planting all sorts of miscellaneous seeds. Each time it pressed one into the soil, it hummed a little tune, casually straightening the black outfit on its body, which looked remarkably like formal wear. On closer inspection, though, the clothes were quite peculiar—clearly tailored specifically for this rabbit.
Ruger looked at everything before him and felt as though he were soil, or perhaps a seed.
"It's alive! Another one lived!"
Rabbit Tuzel shouted to itself and spun in a circle on the ground.
Those seeds had probably been given to it by wizard apprentices. Several centuries ago, when it could still influence admission slots, those seeds would not have been ordinary, though neither would they have been particularly precious. But things were different with Rabbit Tuzel.
Why did it say another one had lived?
Because most of them were difficult to grow.
The rabbit had always used water from that well to irrigate these seeds.
At times, the rabbit hummed songs; at times, it muttered to itself. Occasionally, it tossed aside its watering can and spun around where it stood, or held the can straight out in its extended arm and turned in circles, watching the water spraying from the spout arc through the air and splash onto the nearby ground as it hummed.
"Little thing, you'd better work hard. Don't disappoint me," the rabbit said, staring at a flower. "You're already the oldest
