Every day, he either carried it in his arms or on his back when he went out, used it as a dining table or pillow, or treated it as a sleep aid.

He studied the newly revealed section. His old friend had not disappointed him.

The new page in the Black Book discussed the temporary spell slots granted by the Demonic Mark Meditation Method. Storing spells in advance and then casting them instantly at no cost was a feature shared by all third-generation meditation methods. This page, however, described what made the Demonic Mark Meditation Method special: upon advancing to a Formal Wizard, one could relinquish these temporary spell slots, created to improve Wizard Apprentices' chances of survival, for an extremely high chance of gaining a unique one-ring composite spell.
