Snape's Smile

After dealing with Karkaroff, Tver had finally resolved his last doubts about Voldemort.

Unfortunately, Dumbledore came to his senses and caught Tver trying to slack off. Faced with Dumbledore's fury at the time, he could only be hauled off to the Headmaster's office to discuss repairing Hogwarts' protective magic.

"Voldemort's actions prove only one thing—no matter how many protective spells Hogwarts has, the ones who ultimately protect the students are still adult wizards, mainly professors and Aurors!"

"So," Tver said righteously, slapping the table, "rather than setting up protective magic, we should train more promising young professors and improve their pay and benefits!"

Dumbledore rolled his eyes. He neither answered nor paid any attention to Tver's little scheme to slack off and get a raise this way.

"But, Albus," Professor McGonagall said thoughtfully, "Hogwarts' location has already been exposed. Do we still need to hide this place?"

"Isn't that simple?" Sirius asked curiously.

"We only need to set up a large number of Muggle-Repelling Charms, Confundus Charms, and the like to hide the school from Muggles again."

"I had already imagined that your empty head couldn't think through such a simple question, but I didn't expect your head to be even simpler than the question." Snape's jab arrived, late as always.

"Hogwarts was never simply hidden in terms of location. It comprehensively blocked all kinds of Muggle technological detection methods."

"To put it bluntly, with those protective measures in place, even if the wizarding world itself were exposed, Hogwarts would not have the slightest problem!"

Sirius merely shrugged indifferently.

For the sake of Snape going alone to find Voldemort in order to save Harry, he could selectively put up with him for a day... no, half a day... forget it, just this once!

"Just as you said, the Statute of
