Snape had not actually rejected Tver's proposal outright. Of course, neither would he abandon Hogwarts' "adorable" students and run off to start a business elsewhere.

In fact, perhaps to thank Tver for saving his life, on the morning Tver left Hogwarts, Snape slipped the Resurrection Stone in among the various improved Potions formulas he had researched for years and handed them all over to Tver.

"Why hadn't I realized this stone had such immense power before?" Marvolio toyed with the Resurrection Stone somewhat sourly.

After hearing about Tver's experiences in Limbo, his eyes had turned red with envy!

For powerhouses at their level, raising their strength even a tiny bit could consume decades of their lives—and that was only if they were extraordinarily talented and lucky.

Otherwise, Dumbledore would not have remained so far ahead of everyone else, firmly holding the title of the greatest white wizard!

But now, if he had once been able to wrestle with Tver on even terms, then after Tver's enlightenment through the badge and the Deathly Hallows, he could only go from getting beaten up to getting beaten up even worse!

Eh, did that really make any difference?

Marvolio thought strangely.

"The badge possesses a strong will of its own. If you don't have thoughts as great as mine, there's no way you can receive its help." Tver comforted him with an utterly matter-of-fact expression.

He had already returned the Invisibility Cloak and the Elder Wand to Harry and Dumbledore.

Although Dumbledore had said he could give him the Elder Wand, for the current Tver, rather than pursuing an increase in power, he preferred using his own wand.

So, in a sense, the badge in Tver's hands had become a Deathly Hallow that belonged to him alone.

"What, are you planning to find someone
