When Tver got up the next day, he was startled by the mountain of gifts piled up before him.
Exquisitely wrapped packages of all sizes filled the entire living room, with some even placed in the hallway by the door.
Cynthia was holding her wand and inspecting the packages one by one, making sure none of them contained Dark magic or malicious magical items.
"Since last night, owls have been flying in with gifts. There are still more than a dozen resting in the yard—they look exhausted."
Tver glanced out the window. The owls stood neatly on a perch, with some dried fruit set before them as food.
Yet the pedestrians on the street paid them no attention, as if they did not exist.
This house had not originally been enchanted much. It seemed Cynthia had made special arrangements and temporarily used spells like the Confundus Charm.
"Thanks for your hard work."
He casually opened one of the gifts and found a doll in his likeness inside. Judging by the letter, it was from an upper-year student.
"Most of them are gifts from your students." Cynthia pointed at the largest pile. "But there's one gift that I don't know whether I should give you."
She picked out the smallest package, though it had also been wrapped with exceptional care.
"There's a binding spell on it. Once it's opened, whatever's inside will stick to the recipient. But I couldn't sense any malice or anything improper within it."
Curiously, Tver took it from her. A note was attached to the outside of the gift box, reading: A gift from George & Fred.
Knowing the Weasley Twins' style, he immediately realized that it was likely a harmless prank.
With a soft chuckle, he opened the box without hesitation.
The two did love pranks,
