Yu Ci struggled to defend the Taixiao Divine Court from the Great Black Buddha Mother Bodhisattva while flying through the ruined southern eight quarters, hindered by the gap between his insight and his cultivation. After uncovering and trapping a Formless Demon that had been aggravating his inner turmoil, he continued onward and encountered two figures emerging from a collapsed pavilion.

• Yu Ci assessed the three-way clash of law systems and recognized that his limited cultivation prevented him from making effective use of his insights against the Great Black Buddha Mother Bodhisattva.
