If one looked at the sights in the sky and then listened to the sounds at one's ears, it was very easy to associate them with a rather unrealistic scene:
Beneath the eerie "lanterns," behind layers of gloom, a gigantic gateway was opening. The thunder-like sound was the friction of the gateway's pivot, and as for the aftershocks, they were naturally the heavy breathing of the mighty laborer pushing the doors open.
Especially the latter, rising and falling, heaving and sinking, sometimes distant and sometimes near, clearly conforming to the rhythm of breathing.
In fact, that was a tidal phenomenon formed when two realms of void with completely distinct vital qi intersected with one another. It proved that the devouring of the void had reached its final stage, and after a long period of adaptation, the countering forces had been reduced to a certain degree, no longer forming violent impacts like the Sword Garden or the Northern Wastelands.
Yet anyone who belittled the power within would surely die a miserable death.
If one doubted this, they needed only to look at the single remaining circle of peaks around Donghua Main Peak, which were cracking in total silence.
The twisting power exhaled and inhaled by the "tide" grew more terrifying the further outward it expanded. The cultivators who had not ascended to the main peak prior to this simply found no chance of survival under this force.
Even right upon Donghua Main Peak, under the pressure of the powerful tidal force, all the cultivators found breathing difficult and the circulation of their vital energy restricted. Some had their shoulders, necks, and spines clicking aloud, their backs hunching involuntarily.
This was the "exhalation"!
