High-Dimensional Spacetime

Vast rings that blotted out the sky, along with countless unnatural structures, densely orbited the star like an asteroid belt. Wisps of stardust spilled from the star, carrying enough heat to vitrify Earth's entire surface, only to be swallowed by the rings and converted into room-temperature matter.

This was the home star system of the Zeshu Civilization. It had now completely fallen into the hands of the Collectors as a colonial star system. Aside from the Zeshu Civilization's home planet, the other planets had basically been dismantled clean. In their place, along the star's close orbit, were vast numbers of megastructural organisms bred by the Collectors. The most eye-catching among them was the gravity ring encircling the star, which constantly mined stellar matter.

The gravity ring did not mine matter to prepare for war. This star system was extremely far from the nearest Gate World star system. The purpose of collecting stellar matter was to create more antimatter megastructures and cooling megastructures.
