That One

The top of the laboratory had originally been a single whole.

But not anymore. The passage had been severed, and the protective barrier generator had been cut off from the laboratory. From then on, they no longer had any physical connection.

"What do we do?"

"The Hui Civilization's laboratory is powerful. Its defensive mechanisms might be able to withstand the Spirit Sovereign. We'll rely on the laboratory to resist it."

"That's all we can do."

Unfortunately, the Collectors' thinking was still far too naïve.

Everything around the laboratory began to undergo inexplicable spatial distortions, as though an immense force were kneading everything within this area—including space itself—together and compressing it to the absolute limit.

Then everything shattered like an illusion reflected in a mirror. The endless emerald grasslands, the vast azure ocean, and the boundless heavens all vanished.

What was revealed beneath that false exterior was the truth—chaos.

Revealed alongside the true form of the Spirit Domain was the Spirit Sovereign.

It was formless and shapeless, a mass of blackness that seemed gaseous, liquid, and solid all at once, impossible to comprehend. The only feature that could be clearly defined—and one impossible to forget after seeing it once—was its enormous bloodshot eye.

The Spirit Sovereign had destroyed the Collectors who had invaded the Spirit Domain, but... that was not yet the end.

The entire Spirit Domain seemed to solidify, abruptly ceasing all movement. Whether turbulence or fragmentation, everything suddenly came to a standstill. Time ceased to hold meaning. Even the omnipotent Spirit Sovereign within the Spirit Domain was no exception.

The Spirit Sovereign knew that it had enraged "that one." It had committed an unforgivable sin. Just now, "that one" had rebuked it—look at what you have done!
