It was not conveyed through sound, nor through electromagnetic waves like radio. The Collectors simply "felt" that the other party was replying.
The Collectors did not understand the specific meaning of the reply, nor could it be expressed through words.
"What do you mean? Explain it more clearly." The Collectors asked again.
The reply appeared once more, yet the Collectors still detected no channel through which any information was being transmitted—radio waves, gravitational waves, material vibrations, or anything else. The information was transmitted through their own senses, a fact that forced them to revise their understanding.
However, deciphering the information was more important to the Collectors at the moment, so they did not dwell on that matter.
"Heavenly Engine Megastructure, translate it," the swarm leader ordered.
"It says it wants to kill us."
The Heavenly Engine Megastructure answered.
Though it was something the Collectors had sensed themselves, it was indeed a language and could therefore be deciphered.
The task was extremely difficult. There was too little text, and the language itself was so obscure that it was hard to put into words.
Fortunately, the Heavenly Engine Megastructure possessed immense computing power. With the efforts of this crystallization of Collector wisdom, the information expressed by the incarnation was finally more or less understood.
"It cannot even introduce itself. It should just be one of the lower-level things in the Spirit Realm. It is merely large and looks impressive."
That was the Collectors' assessment. They were not intimidated by the enemy's immense size. Size proved nothing; what truly mattered was the degree to which one could harness the laws of the universe.
If pursuing sheer size alone could make one powerful, the Collectors would have mass-produced organisms the size of stars.
"Prepare the black hole bombs..." the swarm leader commanded.
