When the rift tore open to a width of twenty meters, the first thing emerged.
A hand reached out first. Five fingers.
Each finger had four joints. The fingertips were black, as if dipped in ink. Then came the arm. The muscle patterns on it looked less like biological tissue and more like stone and flesh kneaded together as they grew.

Four arms braced against the edges of the rift as a massive body squeezed out from the black tear.
Three and a half meters tall. Four arms. Its head was flat, with no nose. Its eyes were vertical pupils, dark gold in color.

The second one emerged from the rift. It was smaller, around two meters tall, its entire body covered in purplish-black scales. Its tail dragged behind it like a scorpion's, with a cluster of dark red light at its tip.
