Champa gritted his teeth, his voice low and heavy, like thunder rolling in his chest.
He suddenly swung up his right arm. It was a casual motion, yet it tore the air open with a shriek.
A dark-purple blade of energy shot from the edge of his palm, over two meters long, its edges glinting with a black light that made one's skin crawl.
Wherever he swung, space itself seemed seared open by a warped rift.
The rubble and dust that had just been swept up were instantly reduced to ashes.
Caulifla's pupils contracted sharply.
Her instinct for survival made her frantically pour ki into both arms, forcibly erecting a violently rippling pale-blue shield before herself.
She braced her feet against the ground, cracking the stone tiles beneath them into a spiderweb pattern.
BOOM—!!!
The instant the energy blade collided with the shield, the explosion sounded like a star shattering.
Light swallowed half the great hall, while the shockwave sent the surrounding furnishings and beams flying before crushing them to pieces.
Caulifla felt as though her arms were about to be torn apart. Her bones creaked, and the pain made her scalp go numb—as if they would snap completely in the next second.
Like a boulder launched from a catapult, she was hurled away, smashing through the great hall's thick alloy wall—a special metal capable of withstanding warship cannon fire, now twisted and ripped apart like paper as broken fragments and smoke burst outward.
Her body continued flying backward across the plaza, plowing a trench dozens of meters long and half a meter deep through the ancient stone pavement. Rubble and dirt surged to both sides like waves.
At last, she slammed viciously into the base of a flagpole so thick it would take three people to wrap their arms around it. The heavy granite exploded on impact, and only then did Caulifla finally come to a stop, embedded within it.
"Caulifla!" Cabba's cry was drowned out by the roar of collapsing debris.
He turned into a streak of light, instantly cutting through the smoke and dust to land at her side.
Caulifla's armguards had been completely shattered, and purple burn marks covered her forearms and the backs of her hands, as if they had been licked by hellfire.
Blood seeped from between her clenched teeth and dripped down her chin.
Yet her eyes still burned with a frightening brilliance, like an undying wildfire.
"I'm fine." She spat out a mouthful of bloody foam and pushed herself up with trembling hands, gravel falling from her hair. "That fat cat... he really is strong."
From within the dust, a round figure drifted out of the hole in the great hall like a ghost.
Champa landed steadily in the center of the plaza. The moment his feet touched down, the stone tiles within ten meters sank three inches at once, cracks spreading outward like lightning.
He looked down at Caulifla as she staggered to her feet from the rubble, the killing intent in his eyes nearly solid enough to take form.
"A mere Saiyan dares disrespect a God?" His voice was not loud, yet it overwhelmed the howling wind across the plaza. Every word struck the heart like a heavy hammer. "Today, I'll let you experience for yourselves... what a God of Destruction truly is."
The moment he finished speaking, boundless purple divine power erupted from Champa!
This was no ordinary aura. It was a torrent of energy formed from the pure will of "destruction," blasting into the sky like an erupting volcano.
The clouds above the plaza were torn into a vortex. The ground shook violently as countless stone tiles were thrown into the air, only to be ground into crystalline dust by the divine power and scattered across the sky.
Cabba grabbed Caulifla by the shoulder, and the two stood upright back-to-back.
Caulifla wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and flashed a bloodthirsty grin. "Cabba, let's take him together!"
Cabba drew a deep breath and nodded hard.
The next second, two pillars of blue light shot from their bodies into the heavens! Cabba's aura was like raging waves in the deep sea, steady yet vast; Caulifla's was like storm clouds and thunder, blazing blue light threaded with lightning.
The stone tiles beneath their feet melted from the heat, turning into pools of crimson lava.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Two blue meteors tore through the sky, trailing long tails of light as they charged at Champa at a speed beyond sight.
Cabba took the front, twisting at the waist as he drove out his right fist—he had put eighty percent of his power into this blow. Before the fist even arrived, the compressed air exploded into a transparent shockwave projectile that roared toward Champa's face!
Champa could not even be bothered to raise his eyelids.
He tilted his head slightly, and the shockwave grazed his chubby face before striking the stone pillar behind him, carved with divine runes.
The pillar silently split in two. Its upper half slid down at an angle and hit the ground with a dull thud.
Then Cabba's actual fist smashed heavily into Champa's face!
BAM—!!!
A muffled boom like a war drum.
Cabba's expression changed. What he had struck did not feel like flesh and blood, but the core of a star.
The rebounding force surged back through his arm like a tidal wave, numbing his bones and making his blood churn.
Not even the muscles on Champa's round face trembled. A trace of mockery merely flashed through his narrowed eyes.
"That's it?" Champa grinned, baring sharp white fangs.
Almost at the same time, Caulifla attacked from the flank!
Her body spun through the air, and a flying knee drove straight at Champa's waist like a battle axe. Before it even landed, the pressure of the wind flattened his divine robe against his flesh.
Her fists became blurred afterimages as she threw dozens of punches in less than a second! Every blow carried enough force to shatter mountains and split rocks, precisely locking onto Champa's temples, throat, heart, liver... Her fists screeched through the air with piercing sonic booms. From afar, it looked as though dozens of blue meteors were slamming into that unmoving purple divine figure at once.
Yet Champa remained utterly motionless, his narrow eyes half-lidded and a faint sneer hanging at the corner of his mouth.
Cabba and Caulifla's storm-like barrage of attacks looked like the feeble play of children in his eyes.
Those fists, powerful enough to split mountains, shatter rocks, and crack the earth, fell upon his bloated body like dense raindrops, yet failed to stir even the slightest ripple.
Each blow landed with only a dull "puff, puff," like striking thick, waterlogged leather.
Pale purple divine power flowed soundlessly across his body, forming an invisible yet indestructible armor that quietly absorbed and dispersed every impact into nothingness.
Ki blasts struck him like ice and snow thrown into a furnace, vanishing in an instant without leaving even a wisp of smoke.
"Had enough?" Champa's voice rang out lazily, carrying undisguised mockery and boredom, as though he had merely been bitten by a couple of mosquitoes.
He even raised a hand sluggishly and dusted off nonexistent dirt from his chest.
Then, he moved.
There was no charging up, no preparatory motion. He simply lifted his thick right arm and swept it from left to right as casually as if swatting flies.
The movement looked slow and clumsy, yet it carried an unfathomably natural trajectory.
The slap was not so fast that it could not be seen, but Cabba and Caulifla suddenly felt the air around them turn to steel!
An invisible, intangible field of will, heavy as a mountain, crashed down upon them, locking every inch of their muscles and every joint in place.
This was the God of Destruction's unique "Divine Pressure"—infusing the space with the will of his divine authority, directly affecting the opponent's soul and bodily instincts, awakening absolute fear and trembling on the level of life itself, stiffening their thoughts and slowing their movements as though they had sunk into a swamp.
Their eyes widened and their pupils contracted. They could only watch helplessly as that enormous purple palm grew larger and larger in their vision.
Smack—!!!
A crisp yet heavy boom rang out as the palm struck both of them squarely.
There was no explosion of energy, only the crushing force of pure power taken to the extreme.
Cabba and Caulifla did not even have time to scream. Like rag dolls struck head-on by a speeding train, their bodies distorted instantly as they were sent flying!
Their bodies tumbled and spun uncontrollably through the air, tracing two miserable arcs before crashing heavily onto the incomparably hard stone floor of the temple plaza dozens of meters away.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
