Vegeta: That Divine Sword Seemed Interesting
Master Roshi only remembered that the man had worn armor and wielded that sword as if it were a toy.
It was just a pity that after so many years, Master Roshi could no longer remember clearly what that man looked like.
Perhaps if he appeared before me again, I'd recognize him at a glance.
That was what Master Roshi thought.
What Master Roshi did not know was that Indra had already appeared before him many times.
Yet Master Roshi had never recognized him.
"Old man, how dare you toy with me?" Unable to move the Divine Sword, Raditz flew into a rage and strode toward Master Roshi.
"No... absolutely not... This is the legendary Divine Sword. It has always been waiting for its master. Whoever obtains this Divine Sword will see a tremendous increase in strength... It's a legend from our Earth," Master Roshi said, spinning a very convincing tale.
Bang!
Raditz slapped Master Roshi to the ground, though he did not kill him.
"Kakarot, remember to kill one hundred people within a day!" With a cold snort, Raditz took Son Gohan and flew away.
Not long afterward, Piccolo descended from the sky and said he wanted to join forces with Son Goku against Raditz.
Son Goku was overjoyed.
In that battle, Son Goku and his older brother Raditz perished together.
Piccolo took Son Goku's son, Son Gohan, away.
Indra did not intervene.
What if he did, and Nappa never came to Earth?
It was not as though he could chase Nappa to another planet and erase him.
Just as in the original story, Kami sent Son Goku to Snake Way.
Meanwhile, the other warriors trained hard to prepare for the two even more powerful Saiyans who would arrive a year later.
On a certain planet.
Vegeta was gnawing on an octopus leg.
Nappa gazed up at the distant sky.
"Raditz is dead," Nappa suddenly said.
"Hmph, useless trash. He actually got killed by someone with a power level barely over a thousand." Vegeta looked utterly disdainful.
"Are we going to Earth?" Nappa asked.
"We're going. Of course we're going." Vegeta rose to his feet and smiled. "Didn't you notice? We received two important pieces of information."
"What?" Nappa scratched his head.
"You idiot, didn't you hear them?" Vegeta snapped impatiently.
Nappa gave a bitter smile.
"First, the first important piece of information is that thing they called the Divine Sword. Apparently, as long as one can lift it, it can awaken the latent energy within their body." Vegeta smiled smugly. "Tell me, with my strength, could I possibly fail to lift a broken sword?"
Nappa: "..."
So he had his eye on that Divine Sword.
But was that thing even real?
It had to be a scam, right?
"What about the second one?" Nappa asked.
"The second important piece of information is that Earth has something miraculous called the Dragon Balls. Apparently, they can grant any wish. If we gather the Dragon Balls and wish for eternal youth and immortality, then fight forever, wouldn't that be wonderful?" Vegeta said with a smile.
Nappa: "..."
Was that reliable?
Why did the Dragon Balls sound even more absurd than the Divine Sword?
"You must think they were talking nonsense, right?" Vegeta smiled.
"No... no..." Nappa hurriedly denied it.
"I think they were talking nonsense too. The story is absurdly fantastical." Vegeta chuckled softly. "But what if it's true? No matter what, we're going to Earth anyway. We can go see for ourselves, right?"
"Yes! Prince Vegeta." Nappa bowed.
"Besides, wasn't the once-invincible Frieza mysteriously deprived of his ears? Don't you think something like that is fantastical enough?" Vegeta added.
"That... does seem to make sense... No one knows how Frieza lost his ears or how King Cold lost his tail. So many years have passed, yet even the most advanced medical equipment hasn't been able to make them grow back." Nappa nodded.
"So, when it comes to some things, it's better to believe they exist than to believe they don't." Vegeta smiled. "Frieza is the best example."
"Yes, Prince Vegeta." Nappa felt that Vegeta had made perfect sense.
As expected of His Highness the Prince.
His insight truly was extraordinary.
Frieza's spaceship.
Using surveillance technology, Frieza eavesdropped on Vegeta and Nappa's conversation.
When he heard that the two of them had actually used him as a negative example, Frieza trembled with rage, veins bulging on his forehead.
"These two bastards! I, Frieza, will not forgive them!" Frieza's pupils were bloodshot.
Vegeta, you two just wait.
Just watch how I destroy you later!
You actually dared to mock me, Frieza, for not having ears?
His underlings were terrified. Each lowered their heads, not daring to even breathe loudly.
After a brief silence.
"Lord Frieza, are we going to Earth?" Zarbon asked respectfully.
"There's no need. If Earth were really that extraordinary, why would Raditz, whose battle power is only a little over 1,000, have been able to sweep through it? That proves the two pieces of information Vegeta mentioned are complete nonsense." Frieza analyzed with a grim face.
"By the way, Lord Frieza, that fellow called Indra looks very similar to an Earthling. Could he be an Earthling?" Dodoria guessed.
Frieza glanced at Dodoria.
Dodoria was frightened by Frieza's look and began to tremble.
"I have to say, Dodoria, you are the most foolish idiot among us." Frieza gave a cold laugh.
Dodoria: "..."
I was only making a guess.
Yet you treated me like an idiot.
I really do think that Indra has Earthling traits.
For all we know, he might really be on Earth.
Earth, Kame House.
"Goku... died just like that... I don't know how I'm supposed to explain this to Chi-Chi." Krillin had a splitting headache.
"Gohan was taken away by Piccolo too. If Chi-Chi finds out, do you think she'll collapse on the spot?" Bulma said with a bitter smile.
"In one year, two even stronger Saiyans will descend upon Earth." Master Roshi let out a long sigh, feeling the tragedy of Earth's fate.
"Damn it, I don't even have a girlfriend yet. I don't want to die." Krillin clutched his head, baring his teeth, then turned to Indra. "By the way, Indra, aren't you a magician? Can you erase those two?"
Bulma had told Son Goku and the others about Indra being able to perform "magic" a long time ago.
Bulma had said that her brother-in-law's most impressive magic was erasing things.
Back then, it was because her brother-in-law had erased someone that he saved her sister and naturally became her brother-in-law.
"I can only erase one. You'll have to deal with the other one yourselves." Indra nodded.
"Huh? Huh? Huh?" Krillin stared wide-eyed at Indra, his face full of disbelief.
Really?
I was just joking.
You're saying you can really erase one?
"Indra, can you really erase one Saiyan?" Bulma looked at Indra in surprise as well.
"No problem, leave it to me." Indra nodded slightly. "But I can only erase one."
"Why can you only erase one?" Krillin asked, confused.
"Idiot, using this kind of magic consumes my brother-in-law's magic power. Erasing one person at a time drains it completely, and it takes time to replenish it!" Bulma shouted at Krillin. "Being able to take care of one person is already pretty good. Be grateful!"
"Then... where does the person Indra erases go?" Krillin asked curiously.
"They won't exist in any world." Indra smiled.
"Huh? Wouldn't that mean they're dead? Don't dead people have to report to the underworld?" Krillin asked again.
"The Underworld? It doesn't exist." Indra smiled faintly. "Those I erase won't exist in the Underworld either."
Krillin: "..."
Master Roshi: "..."
Was that true?
Why did this kid suddenly seem so unreliable?
"Then can you erase Son Goku's brother?" Krillin asked again.
"I can." Indra nodded.
"Then why didn't you erase him just now?" Krillin asked curiously.
"Why would I erase him? Besides, what would I gain from erasing him?" Indra countered.
Krillin: "..."
"If you erased him, Goku wouldn't have had to die," Krillin replied.
"Goku died and went to train in a new world. That was part of his lesson." Indra smiled.
"What kind of logic is that..." Krillin had no idea what to say.
"It's getting late. Chi-Chi will probably be here soon." Bulma pondered for a moment. "Sis, brother-in-law, let's go."
"You're right. We should leave this troubled place as soon as possible." Tights nodded.
Bang!
Bulma threw out a Capsule Corp. Capsule, which transformed into an airplane.
Whoosh!
