"What's going on?" Krillin scratched his head. "Do you think that guy might have hidden somewhere and is planning to ambush us...?"
"Do you think someone with his strength would need to do that?" Piccolo glared.
You've got quite an imagination.
"Maybe he wants to ambush that short guy instead." Krillin's imagination ran wild.
Piccolo fell silent.
Is something wrong with your brain?
In the distance, atop a high mountain.
"He disappeared? That Saiyan called Nappa has vanished!" Bulma cried out, immediately turning to Indra.
"I told you, your brother-in-law is amazing," Tights said with a smile.
"Did my brother-in-law really make him disappear?" Bulma looked at Indra in disbelief.
Indra merely smiled without explaining.
"He can make someone vanish into thin air from so far away?" Bulma had truly broadened her horizons today.
"It's not far. This distance is nothing," Indra said with a smile.
Bulma: "..."
This isn't far?
I need high-powered binoculars just to see them.
At the battlefield.
"What exactly happened? Where is Nappa?" Vegeta floated high in the air, searching everywhere for Nappa as he shouted, "Hey, Nappa, get out here!"
However, there was no response from Nappa whatsoever.
Below.
"I remember now... Indra once said he could help us erase someone..." Cold sweat appeared on Krillin's face.
"Indra? Who's that?" Piccolo frowned.
"Bulma's brother-in-law. Maybe you never paid attention to him?" Krillin explained to Piccolo.
"What do you mean by erase?" Piccolo asked again.
Son Gohan also pricked up his ears.
"I heard Indra is a magician who can make people disappear into thin air... It's that simple... Do you think Indra might have made that big guy vanish?" Krillin guessed.
"A magician? Making people disappear?" Piccolo wiped away sweat.
You really know how to exaggerate.
What kind of magician could make a living person disappear?
And that living person was an incredibly powerful Saiyan.
Have you been reading too many fantasy novels?
Smack!
Vegeta descended from the sky and landed in front of the three of them.
"Tell me, what happened just now? Where is Nappa?" Vegeta asked with a dark expression.
"We don't know either. Wasn't it something you did?" Naturally, Krillin could not say that Indra had erased Nappa.
Besides, Indra had never appeared from beginning to end.
Krillin still could not be certain whether Indra had done it.
Even if Indra had done it, Krillin would not say so.
"He vanished into thin air!" Cold sweat slid down Vegeta's face.
But very quickly, Vegeta took a deep breath and gradually calmed himself down.
"Forget that idiot for now. I'll give you three hours to wait for Kakarot to arrive." Vegeta smiled faintly. "How about it? I'm quite merciful, aren't I?"
Krillin: "..."
Piccolo: "..."
A brief silence followed.
"Before Kakarot gets here, can you take me to see that Divine Sword?" Vegeta asked again.
Krillin was completely out of ideas and looked toward Piccolo.
"Take him there," Piccolo said, nodding at Krillin.
In truth, Piccolo also wanted to see that Divine Sword.
According to Master Roshi, someone had once wielded that Divine Sword as though it were a toy.
Could it be that, despite my current strength far surpassing Raditz's from a year ago, I still couldn't move the Divine Sword even a fraction?
"Come with me!" Piccolo called to Vegeta before immediately shooting into the sky.
Son Gohan and Krillin followed him up as well.
Vegeta smiled and flew after them.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The four of them sped toward Master Roshi's island.
"This is bad—they're heading for Master Roshi's home!" Bulma cried out. She hurriedly took out her phone, called Master Roshi's house, and explained the situation.
"That Saiyan is coming here? Fine. I've been wanting to see whether he can lift this sword too. Don't worry, leave this place to me," Master Roshi said calmly over the phone.
After hanging up—
Master Roshi casually tossed out a Capsule Corp. Capsule.
The capsule turned into a submarine.
Master Roshi quickly jumped aboard.
"Master Roshi, where are you going?" Old Turtle asked.
"Are you coming or not?" Master Roshi asked Old Turtle.
"Master Roshi, didn't you just say you'd leave this place to yourself?" Old Turtle was truly defeated by Master Roshi.
"In front of a beauty, I have to put on a righteous and awe-inspiring act. Besides, she can't see me anyway," Master Roshi said solemnly. With that, he plunged into the submarine and vanished from sight.
The submarine dove deep into the sea.
Before long, a periscope extended from the submarine, its lens aimed at the island.
Old Turtle swiftly swam into the ocean as well, fleeing this troublesome place.
Smack!
A minute later—
Piccolo, Vegeta, and the others descended from the sky and landed on Master Roshi's island.
"This is the sword." Krillin pointed at the Divine Sword lying on the ground.
"It certainly looks extraordinary." Vegeta stared at it silently.
"Yes. My teacher told me that only someone fated to it can lift this Divine Sword. It can then awaken the latent power within them and greatly increase their strength," Krillin said with a nod.
Vegeta walked over with a smile, bent down, and gripped the hilt.
The moment he touched the Divine Sword, Vegeta felt an unprecedented heaviness.
"Up!"
Vegeta erupted with energy, trying to lift the Divine Sword.
However, no matter how hard Vegeta tried, he could not move the Divine Sword in the slightest.
"How is this possible?" Vegeta was beyond shocked.
It was just a broken sword!
Me!
A member of the warrior race!
The Prince of Saiyans!
The finest warrior among the Saiyans!
And I couldn't even lift a broken sword?
"Aaargh!"
Vegeta put every ounce of strength he had into it.
Yet the Divine Sword still did not budge.
"Huff... huff... huff..."
Vegeta panted heavily from exhaustion, his face filled with killing intent as he looked at Piccolo, Krillin, and Son Gohan.
"If you can't lift it, that only means you aren't fated to this sword." Seeing that things were going badly, Krillin quickly waved his hands. "Calm down first. Think about it—there are so many people on Earth, yet none of them have ever been able to lift this sword."
Vegeta narrowed his eyes, the meaning in his gaze clear to Krillin.
Keep talking.
If I'm not satisfied with what you say, I'll wipe you out right now.
"Have you seen Thor?" Krillin asked.
"What?" Vegeta had never watched a movie before.
"Simply put, it's a novel written by the famous Earth author, Miss Tights, and later adapted into a film," Krillin hurriedly explained. "Thor has Mjolnir, and aside from him, no one can move it, regardless of whether they're stronger than Thor... I'm guessing this thing is like Thor's hammer—it's waiting for someone fated to it."
"That's utter nonsense!" Vegeta said darkly. "Let me tell you responsibly: if Kakarot hadn't been revived, today would have been Earth's doomsday. I could destroy this planet with ease! Do you understand?"
"Yes!" Krillin nodded vigorously.
Piccolo silently walked over to the Divine Sword, bent down, gripped it, and applied a little force.
Vegeta glanced at Piccolo and sneered.
I can't even lift it, and this Namekian thinks he can move this lousy sword?
Piccolo gently shook his head and released the Divine Sword.
"Gohan, you try," Piccolo said to Son Gohan.
"Me? I can't... Uncle Piccolo..." Son Gohan hurriedly waved his hands.
"How would you know whether you can or not if you don't try?" Piccolo snapped impatiently.
"Alright... I'll try..." Son Gohan stepped forward and grabbed the hilt.
The Divine Sword still showed no reaction at all.
At the mountaintop.
"They went to Kame House. We don't have surveillance over there," Bulma said, scratching her head. "What should we do? Should we fly over and take a look?"
"They just went to get the Divine Sword. I'm sure they'll be back soon," Indra said with a smile.
"Will they? They won't start fighting at Kame House, will they?" Bulma asked.
"They won't. Master Roshi's island is too small; it wouldn't be convenient to fight there. They'll probably choose the previous location," Indra replied.
"Then... shall we wait here a little longer?" Bulma nodded.
"Let's wait. It's not easy to come across material for a novel," Tights agreed.
Indra did not object.
