Going Premium Thoughts

Well, without realizing it, I've reached 50,000 words. The trial period is over too, so it's time to go premium. A small step in writing, but a big step in perseverance.

I've written this book with tremendous enthusiasm, because I'm a fan of Qian Renxue myself. I'd always wanted to write a book with Qian Renxue as the sole female lead, which is why I created this one.

As for this book's numbers, I hadn't held out much hope at first. I never expected all you dear godfathers and godmothers to show me so much support—the results have actually been pretty good.

On the first day of the trial period, it shot up to 48th place on the New Book Rankings. Although it fell afterward, it still remained on the rankings. That really surprised me, and it touched me as well.

Of course, if you ask whether this creative journey has truly been smooth sailing, well, not really.

It's still been pretty heartbreaking.

You all know Third Young Master's writing style. His settings are such a mess that it's beyond words, and if you really dig into them, you'll find nothing but massive plot holes.

But the protagonist of a fanfiction can't possibly be developed from the original work's perspective. Once the setting changes, it inevitably involves fan-created content and supplementary settings.

Because of that, I've already been criticized so much these past two days that I'm getting numb to it.

To give one example, the more controversial issue in this book so far is the connection between the Sea God, the Rakshasa God, the Angel God, and the mortal powers.

The reason I initially came up with this point was actually very simple: I just wanted to patch up the logic behind the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud's origin.

Yes, it was that simple.

Likewise, the relationship between the Sea God and the Xue family is also an important step toward the protagonist working with Qian Renxue to take down the Heaven Dou Empire in the future.

That's why there was a chapter where Xue Ye erupted with the Sea God's divine power. The explanation regarding Xue Ye and the Sea God will also appear in the main story; the plot simply hasn't reached that point yet.

As for the connection between the Rakshasa God and the Angel God, that can be completely ignored. It serves no real purpose—it was only there to provide a reasonable basis for the Sea God's connection to the mortal world.

I won't say much more. Let's leave the plot explanations at that for now.

Some people are willing to accept fanfiction, while others aren't. That's perfectly normal. But I still want to say this: if you aren't willing to accept fanfiction, then why not read the original work? If you want a novel that's almost identical to the original, there's no need to criticize me, right?

The thing I regret most now is not opening the story with, "Ding! Your system has arrived."

Of course, those raising objections are still a minority—only a few people. The vast majority of readers are quietly reading; they just don't like leaving comments.
