After Xuan Heng and Houtu left Kunlun, Houtu no longer wandered the Primordial World aimlessly as they had during their previous journey. Instead, she brought Xuan Heng to the foot of Mount Imperfection.
"Fellow Daoist Houtu, why have you brought me to the Witch Clan's territory?"
Xuan Heng was somewhat puzzled. If they were seeking enlightenment in reincarnation, should they not go to places where remnant souls lingered? Why had Houtu brought him to Mount Imperfection?
As the Witch Clan's main stronghold, this place rarely saw war. At least for now, although friction existed between the witches and demons, it had not yet reached the scale of the first Witch-Demon War.

Houtu led Xuan Heng to the entrance of Mount Imperfection's earth vein.
From the outside, the entrance to the earth vein looked like nothing more than an ordinary stone cliff, guarded by several Witch Clan members whose cultivation rivaled the Forbidden Limit realm. Yet when they saw Houtu arrive, they said nothing. After simply bowing to her, they stepped aside.
Houtu raised her hand and pressed it against the cliff. Lines of earthen patterns slowly lit up across the stone wall, which then split open to reveal a crack barely wide enough for two people to pass through.
Xuan Heng followed Houtu inside. The moment he entered the earth vein, the light around them dimmed. At the same time, he could clearly sense the spiritual energy in the surroundings growing thin, replaced by an exceptionally dense and weighty aura of earth veins.
After walking for an unknown length of time, the space before them suddenly opened up. Xuan Heng had not expected that there would be such a vast space deep within Mount Imperfection's earth veins.
Within this space floated countless incomplete souls. Some
