Yellow Dragon forced down his shock and spoke soothingly. "I know you're anxious, but—but calm down first."
He released his grip, stepped back, and looked up at the Fusang Tree's enormous trunk. His voice steadied. "Your main body is connected to the Sun Star, rooted in the essence of its core."
"I can't bear the karmic consequences of your main body leaving the Sun Star."
The Fusang Tree's branches and leaves shook again. That thought reached him once more, this time tinged with suspicion. "You... lied... to... me..."
Yellow Dragon sighed helplessly.
Although the Fusang Tree's intelligence was incomplete, it was a supreme-grade innate spiritual root. It possessed a primal instinct!
It could sense who treated it well and who meant it harm.
Though it had agreed to leave with him, a trace of distrust had lingered within it.
Now it thought it had been deceived—that Yellow Dragon was merely coaxing it and had no way to take it away.
"I didn't lie to you," Yellow Dragon said, calm and firm. "I have a way to take you with me without affecting the Primordial World."
The Fusang Tree briefly stopped shaking. Its thought carried confusion. "Then... how... do... we... go..."
Yellow Dragon reached out and pointed at its branches. "Your main body is too large, and its ties to the Sun Star and the Primordial World run too deep. I can't take all of it."
"But you can take a section of a branch to carry your true spirit and part of your essence, then transplant it into my Yin-Yang World. There, you can take root anew, grow again, and eventually become a spiritual root that supports the heavens."
The Fusang Tree fell silent.
Its branches and leaves stopped shaking and hung still, as though it were considering his words.
