The Human Race's fortune surged, spreading like a vast shield over all its territory. None of those beings could glimpse anything within it again.
This was the last thing Xuanyuan did for the Human Race as Human Emperor before stepping down.
Only then did Xuanyuan look toward the enormous decree and declare solemnly, "I, Xuanyuan of the Human Race, shall obey the sages' decree."
As he spoke, the enormous decree in the void changed.
The sages' aura flowing across it transformed into a golden bridge. Woven from the purest fortune of the Human Race and the sages' Dao resonance, its surface bore a record of Xuanyuan's achievements and radiated an irresistible pull.
One end of the bridge came to rest upon the Altar in the Human Ancestral Land. The other stretched into the void!
There, an enormous gateway slowly appeared.
Beyond it lay a boundless world.
That world had originally taken the shape of a lotus platform. Each "petal" was an independent Spirit Vein; twelve petals meant twelve Innate Spiritual Veins sustaining the world.
But now it looked somewhat different. Fire Cloud Cave had grown considerably, and several more Spirit Veins extended beyond the original twelve!
Deep within Fire Cloud Cave, two towering figures stood apart. Their gazes pierced the great gateway, coming to rest on the Human Ancestral Land—and on Xuanyuan.
