Ch. 621The Water-Fire Acolytes begged for mercy!
Plot points and events
- Yellow Dragon pins the Water-Fire Acolytes beneath two enormous, thirty-foot Ginseng Fruits after their indiscretion brings many Interception Sect disciples together. The acolytes beg for mercy, but Tongtian does not respond from inside Biyou Palace.
- The disciples are astonished by the fruits’ size. Bixiao tries to bite one, but Yellow Dragon’s protective power leaves it unmarked and costs her two front teeth. Her complaint that the fruit is “fake” prompts laughter.
- When Duobao emerges and invites Yellow Dragon to stay for a gathering, Yellow Dragon warns the acolytes that Bixiao might get the fruits. The acolytes struggle free, lift the fruits with their combined water and fire powers, and stash them away to keep Bixiao from claiming them.
- Duobao hosts a gathering on a seaside terrace. The disciples share spirit fruits, tea, and conversation about the Dao. Before leaving, Yellow Dragon gives everyone a Blood Jujube, a Ginseng Fruit, and a leaf of Dao Enlightenment Tea.
Character developments and interactions
- Yellow Dragon remains relaxed and generous, teasing the acolytes while ultimately letting them free and sharing his prepared gifts.
- Bixiao shows her familiar appetite and impulsiveness, then pouts when she cannot eat or keep the giant fruit. Yunxiao gently rebukes her.
- The Water-Fire Acolytes shift from frightened pleading to determined, proud protectiveness once they realize the Ginseng Fruits may be theirs.
- Zhao Gongming and the gathered disciples move from amazement to amusement, especially at Bixiao’s failed bite.
- Duobao warmly welcomes Yellow Dragon and encourages fellowship; the disciples agree they would like to visit Yellow Dragon for tea.
