Inside the Gravity Chamber.
After Son Gohan mastered the Humanoid Great Ape Power, his mind had grown stronger as well, and he emerged from that state of insight.
Then he opened his eyes and saw Piccolo standing in front of him.
"You felt it too, right, Gohan?"
Piccolo wasn't wearing his cape, but the fighting spirit in his eyes was unmistakable.
"Yeah, they're finally here!"
Son Gohan's eyes also gleamed with excitement.
"Here? Who's here?"
Raditz, crawling painfully across the floor, heard them talking and looked thoughtful.
He'd been serving as their sparring partner every day, and had learned a little about controlling his ki. But he still hadn't gotten used to the gravity, so he had no energy to worry about anything else.
That didn't stop him from longing for the salvation that was about to arrive.
He'd been enduring humiliation on Earth for one reason: to wait for his two companions to show up.
When that time came...
As long as he could hold out until then!
He'd be able to rejoin the squad and once again roam the universe, enjoying the thrill of battle to his heart's content.
He could take his great-nephew along, and he'd definitely beat the green-skinned Earthling to a pulp!
"Your companions are here!"
Piccolo saw right through Raditz's thoughts and sneered. "If you want to go with them, be my guest!"
That was what he said, but ki was clearly surging around him.
Raditz had been beaten up by Piccolo often enough to know there was an unspoken threat behind his words. He even felt that the moment he admitted it, Piccolo would gut him all over again.
"Not a chance. My nephew and brother are both on Earth. Why would I be thinking about anything else?"
The powerful urge to survive forced the Elite Warrior to say those words.
"See that you don't!"
Piccolo snorted, then switched off the gravity in the chamber. "Get ready to fight. Let's show them the results of our training!"
He knew Raditz would never willingly obey.
But Raditz was Gohan's biological uncle, after all, and Piccolo didn't want to kill him in front of Gohan again.
Besides, he had great confidence in his own strength now. Even if Raditz really did turn against them, Piccolo could deal with him at any time.
Son Gohan glanced at his uncle too. He helped him to his feet and said, "Uncle, come with us. You can see the results of our training firsthand."
Raditz was more than happy to do that.
Son Gohan and Piccolo had planned to have Bulma test their battle power one last time.
But now they could clearly sense two ki signatures approaching Earth, so they quickly changed into their outfits and prepared to head to the battlefield.
Before leaving,
Son Gohan checked the messages on his phone.
During a break from training earlier, he'd suggested to Aunt Bulma that they bring forward the development of smartphones to make life at home more convenient. They'd also created a chat app called Spirit Message.
Then, to make it easier for the fighters to stay in touch, he'd set up a group and, with Bulma's help, added Krillin, Yamcha, and the others.
Now that a battle was about to begin, he naturally had to let them know.
But as soon as he opened Spirit Message, he saw that someone had already posted a message.
[Anti-Saiyan Resistance Chat Group] [Protect Earth (Krillin): Mr. Popo just told me that the Saiyans have arrived on Earth. Everyone, stay alert!] [True Successor of the Crane School (Tien Shinhan): They're finally here. We've trained for a year, so now it's time to show what we can do. I hope we can hold those guys off, at least until Goku arrives!] [West City's Strongest Fighter (Yamcha): Everyone's fired up! I've trained hard this time too. Let's give it our all and show those aliens what we can do!] [Protect Earth (Krillin): Let's do this! And don't be the first one to lose this time!] ...
Seeing that everyone was ready, Son Gohan didn't say anything more.
He put his phone in his pocket for the time being.
"So those guys trained too? It won't do them any good. This time, I'll deal with the invading Saiyans by myself!"
Piccolo had clearly seen the messages in the group as well, but he was still playing the part of the Demon King, so he hadn't joined in.
"Yeah. I'll head over first, Uncle Piccolo!"
Son Gohan had already sensed the Saiyans landing on Earth. He also knew that Nappa was about to raise two fingers, so he didn't hesitate.
He shot high into the sky, then powered up and flew off in an instant.
Piccolo and Raditz followed after Gohan.
In a city near West City,
the bald, muscular giant looked around with a mocking expression.
Then he pressed his index and middle fingers together. Power surged through his body as he prepared to wipe out the surrounding area.
The people nearby saw the strange man pointing his fingers downward, but they didn't realize what was about to happen. They kept pointing at the two newcomers.
Boom!
Nappa pointed his fingers upward, and a tremendous aura began to erupt around him.
But at that moment, a dazzling blast of ki shot toward him.
The immense force instantly tore through the aura around Nappa and slammed into his chest, completely scattering the power he'd gathered.
In the next instant,
Nappa was sent flying far away by the blast, unable to resist at all.
He crashed down hard outside the city.
A deafening explosion sounded in the distance. Smoke and flames billowed upward, forming the shape of a mushroom cloud.
It all happened so quickly that the people nearby didn't even have time to react.
They had no idea they'd just narrowly escaped death.
Even Vegeta, who'd come with Nappa, couldn't stay calm. He'd seen the one who fired the blast, but he hadn't expected that person's power to be so incredible. Nappa was a warrior from a distinguished family, yet he hadn't even been able to withstand a single attack.
According to the message Raditz had sent earlier, there shouldn't have been anyone this powerful on Earth!
So what was going on?
He felt a sense of unease and fixed his eyes on Son Gohan, who was dressed in a purple martial arts uniform.
When he saw the brown tail behind him,
understanding dawned in Vegeta's eyes, but he still found it unbelievable. "I see. This is Kakarot's son. But according to the data Raditz sent, his battle power was only 1,307. So how can he...?"
He knew how strong Nappa was, and he knew a battle power of 1,307 couldn't hurt him.
Yet Gohan had just blasted Nappa far into the distance.
That meant his strength had undergone a world-shaking transformation.
But Saiyans didn't grow that much at his age. Even Vegeta, hailed as the greatest prodigy in Saiyan history, hadn't seen his battle power surge until he was an adult.
This Low-Class Warrior brat was only four years old. He was nowhere near the age when his battle power should skyrocket!
"Could it... could he be..."
As his thoughts raced, Vegeta remembered the legend among the Saiyans. A tremendous shock seized him.
"The Legendary Super Saiyan!?"
