Though the voice in the sky was loud and urgent, only Goku and Gohan could hear it. Even those standing right beside them could not hear a thing.
The one transmitting his voice clearly knew how terrifying Frieza was, and his voice was filled with both urgency and fear.
Although Son Gohan had never met King Kai, he immediately guessed who was speaking.
After all, there were only so many people in the Dragon Ball world capable of broadcasting their voice across the map.
Son Goku looked up in confusion and asked, "King Kai, is that you?"
"It's me. Goku, Gohan, listen to me. No matter what happens, you absolutely must not face Frieza, and you absolutely must not try to make an enemy of him. Otherwise, it will become the greatest crisis in the entire universe!"
"Hmm? You know that guy too, King Kai?"
"Of course I know him. That guy's power is nothing like the opponents you've faced before. You aren't even on the same level, so absolutely, absolutely do not try to challenge him!"
King Kai repeated himself again and again, trying to convey just how important this was.
"What if he comes to Earth?"
"If that happens, leave Earth as quickly as possible and hide somewhere he can't find you!"
"Is that guy really that strong?"
Son Goku could clearly hear the fear in King Kai's voice, but it only made him eager to give it a try.
"Hey, who are you two talking to?"
Vegeta was puzzled when Goku suddenly blurted out a couple of seemingly random lines, especially since they appeared to be related to Frieza.
Son Gohan, meanwhile, did not respond to King Kai.
Because he knew Frieza even better than King Kai did, and he knew that confronting him was inevitable. Rather than listen to how terrifying Frieza was, he might as well think about how to increase his strength as quickly as possible.
After all, Frieza coming to Earth was practically a certainty.
Even if Frieza still chose to go to Namek first, given the Namekians' nature, there was no way he would be able to make his wish there. Most likely, the Grand Elder would die, the Dragon Balls would become useless, and Frieza, enraged, would destroy Namek.
And after failing on Namek, he would come to Earth in a fury.
That much was obvious at a glance!
As for avoiding Frieza and quietly building up strength, that was even more of a joke. What could Earth possibly use to deal with the Frieza Force's technology now?
Besides, with him around, why would they need to avoid Frieza at all?
As he considered what lay ahead, he felt that they should still go to Namek. Ideally, they would kill Frieza on that alien planet.
That way, Dr. Gero would not be able to collect Frieza's cells.
And then create Androids beyond anyone's expectations.
He still did not know whether this timeline would have a future boy coming to deliver medicine, but if he prepared in advance, perhaps that despairing timeline would never come to exist!
Thinking of Dr. Gero, another concern entered his mind.
That was another enemy who needed to be dealt with as soon as possible.
Otherwise, with that guy's intelligence, who knew what absurd thing he might create? If he really made a Cell Max, Gohan could not exactly become Beast ahead of time!
While he was considering even more matters, Son Goku had already briefly explained King Kai's situation, only to receive Vegeta's merciless mockery.
"I think Frieza's matter can wait for now."
Seeing that everyone was still somewhat at a loss, Son Gohan said, "For now, let's talk about the Namekians!"
"Hmph. Earthlings and gods really are cowards."
Vegeta mocked the others before beginning to explain what he knew about Namek.
He intended to make Earth clash with Frieza.
So he did not hide much. He only said that the Namekians were a strange race, rumored to have suddenly appeared in the universe.
And that they were said to possess extremely special powers.
That was why most forces in the universe did not dare provoke them lightly.
However, Vegeta himself had never been to Namek. He had only encountered Namekians before while attacking some planet, so there was not much he could actually say.
After hearing what he had said, Piccolo coldly replied, "Hmph. Those details don't seem particularly useful. All I learned is that there's such a planet somewhere in the universe."
"It's not entirely useless."
After thinking for a moment, Son Gohan said, "Based on what Vegeta said earlier, Frieza should have been monitoring their communications all along. That means he should know about the Dragon Balls too!"
"That's right!"
A cold glint flashed through Vegeta's eyes.
"And if even someone like Vegeta wants immortality, then Frieza definitely wants it too. He should already be planning whether to come to Earth or go to Namek!"
As everyone listened to Gohan's explanation, traces of horror appeared in their eyes.
They had not even recovered from the battle against the Saiyans.
And now they might have to face an even stronger emperor of the universe?
Come on, that was the emperor of the universe—the strongest person in the entire universe. They were just martial artists from Earth. Were they really supposed to fight an opponent like that?
"Hey, what do you mean, 'someone like Vegeta'?"
Vegeta was clearly displeased at being called "someone like that."
Yet he also felt uneasy inside, because he knew Frieza really would do as Gohan had said. But if that guy truly obtained eternal life, then he would never have another chance to resist!
Piccolo pondered for a moment before asking Gohan, "Gohan, what do you mean by bringing this up? Do you think we should go to Namek and help them?"
Those words made Yamcha and the others widen their eyes.
Son Gohan smiled at Piccolo. "Then what do you think we should do, Uncle Piccolo?"
A thoughtful look appeared in Piccolo's eyes. After hearing Gohan's analysis, he also felt that Frieza and the Saiyans here were destined to fight.
The only difference was whether Frieza would go to Namek first.
If he went to Namek first, he might conquer that planet and then descend upon Earth with an immortal body.
That would be even harder to deal with than if he came straight to Earth!
Even setting those factors aside, as someone who might possibly be a Namekian, he was deeply curious about that planet as well.
If it truly was the planet where he had been born, then he could not simply stand by and do nothing.
Son Goku seemed to see through Piccolo's thoughts and said, "If Frieza really is going to Namek, then it was still caused by the Dragon Balls on Earth. In that case, no matter what, we can't just stand by and watch!"
"But he's the Emperor of the Universe. Are we really going to..."
Yamcha was obviously feeling somewhat intimidated. He had nearly been killed by a Saibaman before, and just thinking about facing the Emperor of the Universe made his heart falter.
"But if that guy really is as described, then sooner or later, he'll come to Earth too!"
Although Tien Shinhan felt the pressure as well, the flames of battle in his eyes had not dimmed. He still wanted to fight powerful opponents from across the universe.
But while that was true, Krillin and Yamcha, who had both suffered serious injuries this time, still remained worried.
Seeing them like this, Son Goku smiled and said, "Don't worry, everyone. That guy might not come to Earth at all. Even if he does, we'll have plenty of time to prepare."
"What if he goes to Namek?"
Piccolo was the one who asked.
Son Goku slowly raised his head to look at the sky. "If that happens, then I'll go to Namek too. After all, this was brought about because of me. I'll find a way to resolve it."
"Goku..."
Krillin, Yamcha, and the others clearly did not want Goku to venture into danger alone.
Although they were afraid of facing the Emperor of the Universe, they treasured Goku even more as a friend. Even if the danger had been brought about by him, the thought of letting him go alone had never crossed their minds.
Just as the mood here grew somewhat heavy, a spacecraft rapidly approached from the distance. It bore the logo of Capsule Corporation, and it was clearly Bulma...
