Namek.
Krillin and Yamcha were holding their breath, hiding beneath the water.
Krillin was also holding a seemingly petite Namekian in his arms.
The two watched the area above them in terror, clearly worried about something—and indeed, a pink-skinned monster flew overhead.
He was clearly one of Frieza's subordinates.
Above the water.
Dodoria glared furiously at the surroundings.
Now that his Scouter had been destroyed by those cunning aliens, he could only rely on his eyes to search for their trail, but that was clearly of little use.
"Those damned bastards actually made me lose face in front of King Frieza!"
Dodoria clenched his fists tightly and said coldly, "Once I find you, I'll make sure you learn the consequences of offending Dodoria."
He slowly flew over the waters, occasionally bombarding the surrounding area with energy blasts.
Yet in the end, he failed to find anything resembling a target.
Suddenly.
Dodoria noticed a spaceship descending from the sky.
He quickly looked up and saw a round spacecraft landing. Its design resembled the ships used by their force, though it appeared to have been modified somewhat.
"Vegeta and the others?"
Remembering the message Cui had sent earlier, Dodoria quickly guessed that it was Vegeta's ship, and delight immediately filled his eyes.
Without hesitation, he flew toward the spacecraft.
In the distance.
Capsule Corporation's modified Ship No. 1 slowly descended.
The hatch opened shortly afterward, and four figures stood at the entrance, all looking out over the planet.
Raditz and Nappa, standing on either side, were comparatively burly.
Son Goku and Vegeta in the middle carried even more imposing auras. They were both wearing Frieza Force uniforms, giving them something of a Saiyan supergroup vibe.
Son Goku looked around like a curious child and said, "So this is Namek. It's really amazing!"
"Hmph."
Vegeta merely snorted and said nothing.
He was planning how to seize the Dragon Balls, then surpass Son Gohan and Frieza to claim the final victory.
"Huh? Someone's coming."
Before the other two could offer any remarks, Son Goku had already sensed someone approaching.
Everyone immediately turned to look into the distance.
A red-skinned, blocky figure rapidly approached—it was none other than Dodoria of the Frieza Force.
Son Goku frowned slightly and asked, "Is he a Namekian too? His energy feels a little different..."
"That's Dodoria from Frieza's army."
Raditz quickly explained, though unease rose in his heart at the same time.
He knew that Dodoria had always been one of Frieza's trusted attendants.
If that guy was here, could Frieza be far behind?
At the thought of facing that monster, Raditz could not help feeling intimidated, as if even his bones were starting to go soft.
"Oh, okay."
Son Goku seemed to acknowledge it, but he had not remembered the other man's name at all.
When Dodoria saw that everyone except the one with the crab-like hair was wearing Scouters, his face immediately lit up. "Vegeta, you're truly bold. You came here without King Frieza's orders. But since you brought Scouters with you, I can ask the King to let the matter slide."
Hearing that, Vegeta immediately realized something. "Oh, so you don't have Scouters now."
"Vegeta, what are you trying to do?"
Dodoria considered himself stronger than Vegeta, so although he sensed another meaning in his words, he was not afraid.
Vegeta sneered, removed his Scouter, and held it out toward Dodoria. "You want this thing?"
Dodoria reached out to take it directly.
But Vegeta had already crushed the Scouter in his hand.
"What? Vegeta... you dare..."
Before Dodoria could finish speaking, he discovered that Vegeta had launched an attack.
The next instant.
Vegeta's fist slammed directly into Dodoria's chest.
He was sent flying backward at high speed, retreating straight into the sky.
"This guy..."
Dodoria stared downward in disbelief. He simply could not believe what had just happened—Vegeta had struck him in an instant.
And Vegeta had defeated Dodoria, who had once been far stronger than him, in a single move.
A confident smile appeared on his face as he said, "I was still wondering how to deal with you and Zarbon first. I never expected you to come knocking on my door. This is a perfect opportunity!"
"Don't get too cocky. That punch just now was nothing more than an accident."
Dodoria glared at Vegeta with fury. Unwilling to believe that his opponent could defeat him, he could only hope that it had been a coincidence.
Vegeta slowly rose with his arms folded, smugly saying, "A coincidence? It seems you still don't understand. After the battle on Earth, I've been completely reborn. You're no match for me at all!"
"What?"
Dodoria's eyes were plainly filled with disbelief.
Vegeta was already right in front of him. At this point, he was in no hurry to attack. Instead, he savored the fearful expression on Dodoria's face.
"Still don't understand? We Saiyans are a race that grows stronger the more we fight!"
Vegeta suddenly rushed forward until he was practically face-to-face with Dodoria. In that instant, he flipped upward, spun around, and planted a foot on Dodoria's back. "While you lot were enjoying yourselves, I was fighting an unprecedentedly brutal battle on Earth. That battle drew out even more of my potential. This is what a true warrior race—the Saiyans—are!"
Dodoria had yet to react.
Both his arms were seized from behind by Vegeta.
Vegeta had never felt so relieved. He had been brutally beaten by Gohan on Earth, then suppressed by Kakarot aboard the spaceship. These past days had nearly left him traumatized.
And now, he had run into Dodoria, who had once looked down on him.
Naturally, he was going to vent properly.
"So that's how it is!"
Dodoria's eyes widened as well. He seemed to suddenly understand why King Frieza had spared Vegeta after destroying Planet Vegeta, yet never allowed him to take part in dangerous battles.
"Hmph, you idiot. Go die already!"
"Wait, wait! Vegeta, I know a secret about Planet Vegeta..."
"Planet Vegeta? What secret could it possibly have?"
Though Vegeta said that aloud, he had already thought of his earlier suspicion—that Planet Vegeta had actually been destroyed by Frieza.
"Planet Vegeta wasn't destroyed by a meteor. King Frieza destroyed it personally."
"Hm?"
"Individual Saiyans may have been no match for Lord Frieza, but in recent years, many geniuses like you appeared among the Saiyans. If you had joined together and rebelled against King Frieza, that might have caused some trouble. So King Frieza wiped you out in advance. You should be grateful to King Frieza—he specifically chose to act while you weren't there!"
Vegeta's expression turned slightly grave. He had long guessed as much, so he was not surprised.
"That must be quite a blow. Take your time thinking it over, Vegeta!"
Dodoria took advantage of that instant to flee.
"A blow? Hmph, I don't care at all about the destruction of Planet Vegeta or the Saiyans. What I care about is that you bastards actually dared to order me around so freely!"
Something seemed to shift in Vegeta's mood. Watching Dodoria flee, he pressed his index and middle fingers together on his right hand. "Die!"
The next instant.
Ki rapidly expanded from the abdomen where Dodoria had been struck by Vegeta.
Ki spread rapidly through his body, and in an instant, his body exploded, becoming fireworks that filled the sky.
"What filthy fireworks."
Vegeta gazed at the sky bursting with flames, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
Afterward, he landed beside the spaceship once more.
Son Goku took a photo of the fireworks, then posted it to his social media feed, also using it to let everyone know that they had arrived on Planet Namek.
"So it really was that guy who destroyed Planet Vegeta. Vegeta, what should we do?"
Nappa was clearly still extremely loyal to Vegeta.
Vegeta looked coldly into the distance and sneered. "What should we do? Frieza feared the unfathomable potential of us Saiyans from the very beginning. Now what he feared has become reality. The time has come. Today is the day he dies!"
Son Goku put away his phone and said, "Let's first see what exactly is happening here!"
His expression grew slightly solemn.
In an instant, he sensed most of the ki on the planet.
He also clearly sensed Krillin's and Yamcha's ki.
"They're suppressing their ki. Did something happen?"
Feeling that something was off, he greeted the others and swiftly headed into the distance.
The Great Elder's residence.
Son Gohan had already completed his training within the consciousness space.
He had understood the composition of Spirito, and naturally learned Instant Transmission as well, though there was still much more he had yet to comprehend.
But what he had learned was already enough to handle the situation before him!
He rose directly from the ground.
Seeing that Uncle Piccolo was still meditating, he couldn't help thinking of another world—a world that had indeed been rather tragic.
If he had not gone there, Slug would most likely have become that world's final victor.
After all, he had already possessed power far surpassing Frieza at full strength back then.
If he had truly absorbed Uncle Piccolo's power as well, his strength would probably have grown to an unimaginable level!
There would have been hardly anyone left in that world capable of stopping him.
Fortunately, that outcome had now been prevented.
That world's father only needed to defeat Frieza next, then ask the Namekians to recreate Shenron!
"Finished?"
Piccolo seemed to sense something at that moment and came back to himself from his meditation.
Son Gohan gathered his thoughts again and said with a smile, "Yeah. Now it's time for us to go meet that Frieza!"
Piccolo nodded slowly, still looking as cool as ever.
Son Gohan, meanwhile, prepared to use his phone to notify Krillin.
Then he saw something his father had posted on Moments.
He tapped it open without thinking and saw fireworks exploding in Namek's sky, while Vegeta stood below with two fingers raised smugly.
There was text accompanying it: Arrived on Namek.
"Looks like filthy fireworks."
Thinking of Vegeta's iconic scene, Son Gohan unconsciously smiled, only to see his Moments refresh again.
Krillin had posted something new as well.
Son Gohan refreshed the page and saw an attached image, instantly breaking out in a cold sweat.
Because Krillin was wearing a standard-issue Frieza Force battle suit in it.
Underneath was a black skintight suit with short sleeves and shorts combined into one piece, while over it was the traditional armor. At that moment, Krillin was admiring his outfit with great satisfaction.
There was text beneath the picture.
[Just met up with Goku and the others. It's my first time wearing alien clothes. They're really light and fit well—these clothes are perfect for fighting!]
Even so.
All Son Gohan wanted to tell him right then was: Uncle Krillin, you absolutely can't wear that outfit!
