Background / History

Shrek Academy is described as the soul master academy with the longest heritage and deepest foundations on the Douluo Continent. Its cultivation methods, secret-realm resources, instructors, and opportunities for peer sparring are regarded as unmatched by other academies. 8

The academy draws applicants from across the continent during its annual admissions period. By the time Huo Yuhao applies, Shrek City’s gates are crowded with prospective students, merchants, and groups of Soul Masters. 9

When Huo Yuhao demonstrates Rank 28 soul power and two million-year soul rings at age eleven, the academy alerts the Sea God Pavilion. Mu En subsequently admits him without examination into the first-year advanced class and appoints Huo Chen as a specially appointed instructor with privileges equal to a Sea God Pavilion elder. 10

Under Huo Chen’s tenure, Class One abandons Zhou Yi’s last-place elimination approach in favor of individualized training and a policy that rejects labeling students as “trash.” 11

Sea God Pavilion

The Sea God Pavilion is Shrek Academy’s highest authority. Its senior members are powerful figures with Titled Douluo-level strength and continent-wide prestige. Mu En serves as its master. 10

Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament

Shrek Academy sends two seven-person teams to the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament: an Outer Court team composed of the Forty-Seventh Shrek Seven Monsters and an Inner Court elite team. 67

• The Outer Court team is assigned to gain tournament experience and aim for the quarterfinals. 67
