Tang Ya became the Tang Sect's sole remaining sect master after her parents were killed and the Iron Blood Sect seized the Tang Sect's former residence in Heaven Dou City. For six years, she carried the burden of restoring the sect while avoiding the old headquarters that had been taken from her family. 56 59 60

By the time she began frequently visiting Shrek Academy, the Tang Sect was severely depleted in both funds and disciples. She repeatedly sought to recruit Huo Yuhao, whose talent gave her hope for the sect's revival, while privately struggling with cultivation bottlenecks, financial pressure, and fear that the Tang Sect would perish under her leadership. 56 57
