"Resurrection... isn't possible?"
"It's not that I'm incapable of it. It's that I mustn't do it," Aya said. "Those people you mentioned are members of the Four Strategists, right?"
Aisha nodded.
The other party knew her information inside and out, so she surely knew that as well.
"I can resurrect them—rather, it would be effortless. But if I resurrect them and it makes you become dependent on them, that would not meet my requirements."
"I... see."
"However, there is a compromise—resurrect them, but erase all memories related to you, alter their perception, and send them somewhere far away. Can you accept that?"
Your companions could live, but they would forget everything about you. Could you accept that?
Aisha fell silent for a moment, gently biting her lower lip.
"Thank you very much. Please do that."
Let it be as though they had never met her at all.
"Okay... Do you have any other requests?"
"No."
"If there's anything else you want, just tell me. No need to be polite," Aya said.
"Now, let's discuss the details of the job."
Aisha immediately grew tense.
Aya had just said, "because it's worth the price." The content of the job and the value of the compensation were equivalent. Since she had offered such generous conditions—generous enough to seem suspicious—there would naturally be an equally demanding task.
Aisha was not making a wish; she was making a deal. And a deal meant that the more she received, the more she would have to give.
"First," Aya said seriously. "Take off your clothes."
