Chapter 3: Elf Dragon

Nonnos the water serpent opened his eyes, stretched his body, which had grown slightly numb from his long sleep, then slowly slithered out of the underground palace and into the central lake.

His massive body was surprisingly agile. Nonnos darted and twisted through the icy lake water, both searching for food and training himself in this manner.

The vast Moonshade Great Forest lay along the border between human territory and the beastman tribes. It could be said to be a natural buffer zone for conflicts between the two sides. Neither dared to casually send troops across the forest, because this was the domain of magical beasts.
