Inside a room on the top floor of the Golden Shining Pavilion, a skeleton, a doppelganger, and two beautiful young women had gathered.
The skeleton at the head of the group was the ruler of death, Ainz Ooal Gown, the supreme leader of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. The other three were all level-100 guardians of Nazarick.
They were Pandora's Actor, the Area Guardian of the Treasury; Aureole Omega, the Area Guardian of the Cherry Blossom Sanctuary; and Lilith Tiamat, a special-level guardian. They were the three members Ainz had selected for the special operations team.
Pandora's Actor, the Area Guardian of the Treasury, was an NPC personally created by Ainz and someone he could trust unconditionally. The Area Guardian of the Cherry Blossom Sanctuary held Aya in extremely high regard—far more so than any of the other Supreme Beings.
As for Lilith Tiamat, she was Aya's biological daughter.
More importantly, all three were hidden characters of Nazarick. Ordinary NPCs in Nazarick knew very little about them. With their help, the risk of information leaking could be minimized.
Ainz had carefully chosen these three to handle matters related to Aya.
Now, in the most luxurious suite of the Golden Shining Pavilion, Ainz was conducting the final tactical briefing.
At the same time, Aya and the others were checking into the room next door.
Not one of them used Clairvoyance magic to peek next door, because no one could have imagined such a coincidence. But even if they had looked, they probably would not have recognized Aya in her current loli form.
"Shalltear is a bait character I deliberately sent out," Ainz declared shamelessly. "I understand Shalltear's personality, so I specifically devised this plan."
"I see. As expected of Lord Ainz!"
