AllSpark!

It really was the AllSpark!

The moment Sun Cheng climbed out of the reservoir, he sensed a faint, wondrous ripple of energy continuously emanating from somewhere in the distance. It stimulated his [Core] until it nearly descended into disorder, and Sun Cheng was so excited he almost jumped up.

The [AllSpark]—it was the [AllSpark].

The supreme holy relic of Cybertronian legend. According to Onslaught, it was both the source of life and the final resting place of Decepticon souls, possessing the immense power to evolve any Decepticon to a higher level!

At the thought that he could finally escape Soundwave's threat while evolving the lowest-grade Core within his body to a higher level, he could not contain his excitement.

He hurriedly leaped out of the reservoir and cautiously hid himself in a blind corner beside it.

Though he wanted nothing more than to fly straight to the [AllSpark], his cautious nature allowed him to think calmly.

There was more beneath Hoover Dam than met the eye. If, just as he had guessed, the Americans had discovered the [AllSpark] that had crashed onto Earth over ninety years ago and secretly transported it here for research, then there was a high chance its abilities had already been exposed.

If so, then even if this place was not filled with traps, it was bound to be heavily guarded.

To be safe, he first released several groups of insect scouts, sending them toward the source of the [AllSpark]'s energy fluctuations to investigate while also probing the security arrangements here.

Before long, a steady stream of images was transmitted back from the insect scouts.

Sun Cheng was clearly already at least several kilometers away from Hoover Dam. This was an enormous base, brightly illuminated throughout. Within just a few minutes, the insect scouts had discovered several massive workshop-like factories filled with all kinds of machinery.

Not only were armed guards patrolling back and forth through the base, workers and technicians wearing various identification badges also moved in and out constantly.

Controlling one of the insect scouts to approach the technicians, he observed them for a while and was astonished to discover that the base was packed with engineers in energy, machinery manufacturing, metal materials, artificial intelligence, and computer science. With such a dense concentration of top technical personnel, he would absolutely believe it if someone said this was one of the United States' foremost advanced research centers.

"Is this what Sector Seven refers to?"

The insect scout had spotted those words on a supervisor's badge, and Sun Cheng fell into thought.

Come to think of it, when he had infiltrated Tucson to investigate clues regarding the [AllSpark] not long ago, he had been detected by some strange device due to a moment of carelessness. Several men in black had quickly appeared nearby, and he remembered that they had claimed to be from "Sector Seven."

At the time, Sun Cheng had assumed that he and the others had exposed themselves during their attack on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, allowing the United States government to develop detection equipment specifically for Decepticons in barely half a month.

But thinking about it now, if Cybertronian technology could truly be cracked by the Americans in such a short time, then this country's cheat code was far too overpowered.

The insect scouts soon confirmed that the Americans had already noticed the [AllSpark]'s unusual effects on electronic equipment. Not only had they built a thick anti-radiation isolation wall out of lead, they had also artificially created an electromagnetic interference zone behind it. As a result, none of the insect scouts he released could get close to the [AllSpark], all of them falling victim to the electromagnetic interference zone.

Still, after releasing several batches of insect scouts, he had managed to figure out the guards' patrol frequency and routes.

Once he had quickly mapped out a relatively safe route for himself, Sun Cheng wasted no time and immediately sprinted toward the [AllSpark].

He raced all the way there, using his new body's high-speed mobility to run at incredible speed.

Fortunately, the base was packed with all kinds of machinery. Although there were plenty of personnel, with the help of the [Spy Template] and the insect scouts, Sun Cheng was always able to find a visual blind spot before he was exposed.

Thus, he remained undetected throughout his mad dash, right up until he broke through the lead wall.

The moment he charged into the electromagnetic interference zone, a pained expression appeared on Sun Cheng's face.

For mechanical lifeforms like Decepticons, electromagnetic interference was undoubtedly the cheapest and most effective countermeasure.

A Decepticon's body was filled with all manner of circuits and silicon crystals. Though they were far more advanced than those manufactured by humans, they could still be affected by electromagnetic interference to varying degrees.

Suppressing the splitting pain that made his head feel as though it would explode, Sun Cheng no longer had the luxury of concealing himself if he wanted to get through the interference zone quickly. Almost instantly, he pushed his speed to the limit and shot out of the zone like an out-of-control race car hurtling at high speed.

Bang!

Having just burst out of the interference zone, Sun Cheng's mind was still in chaos when he felt something get sent flying by his impact before he could react.

He shook his head. Soon afterward, his [Core] finally resumed normal operation. When he looked closely, the first thing he saw was a gigantic cube more than ten meters away. Feeling the terrifying energy radiating from it, energy so intense that it made him tremble with excitement, it could only be the [AllSpark].

Reluctantly pulling his gaze away, Sun Cheng knew that although he was only a few steps from the [AllSpark], he was in deep trouble.

A pool of blood in the distance, a corpse beside it, and a nervous white engineer wearing a hard hat just a few steps away—all of it proved one thing: Sun Cheng had been exposed.

"NBE... non-biological extraterrestrial..."

Though he recovered a little later than Sun Cheng, the white engineer immediately cried out in a shrill, panicked voice.

Sun Cheng's heart sank. Instantly transforming back into human form, he raised his right palm at the white engineer who had discovered him. The rapid-fire machine gun exposed in his palm fired two precise bursts, sending the man to meet God.

However, the engineer had achieved his purpose.

The shriek and the sudden gunfire quickly alerted the group of technicians studying the [AllSpark] nearby. Once they followed the sounds and noticed Sun Cheng, some shouted for help while others screamed and fled. A piercing red alarm immediately began to blare.

"Damn it, I don't have much time!"

Realizing the severity of the situation, Sun Cheng fought down the urge to turn and flee, then dashed toward the enormous [AllSpark] nearby.

He soon realized just how correct his decision had been!

When Sun Cheng came within three to five meters of the [AllSpark], he clearly felt abundant energy continuously pouring from it into his body. In that instant, he felt as though he had been submerged in a hot spring, warm and comfortable all over.

And when he finally reached the [AllSpark] and impatiently stretched out a hand to touch it, deep blue arcs of electricity frantically danced around it, enveloping Sun Cheng within them.

Even more violent energy, along with a kind of great power that he himself could not describe, surged madly into Sun Cheng's body together with an enormous torrent of information. After circulating briefly, it began converging toward the [Core] in his brain!

Accompanied by a stabbing pain that nearly crushed his consciousness, intense dizziness struck him the next moment.

Sun Cheng still remembered where he was, so he desperately summoned every ounce of strength he had to keep himself from passing out completely.

The entire process lasted several minutes. Only after he sensed that no more energy or information was pouring into his body did he hesitantly pull back the arm that had seemed magnetically attached since the moment he touched it.

Instinctively, he called upon his [Core], wanting to feel the changes in himself.

When a piece of information suddenly fed back from the [Core] into Sun Cheng's mind, his eyes widened, and he couldn't help crying out, "The Spark!"

PS:

I was halfway through writing just now, but after rereading it, I wasn't satisfied, so I deleted it and rewrote it.

This author usually updates two chapters a day. Since I still have to work during the day to support my family, whenever I owe chapters, I'll make them up on my days off.

Once again, thanks to the two generous readers, "Purple Fan Kui" and "Monkey Stick Devil," for their rewards.

By the way, let's discuss the protagonist's future transformation. I have a proposal: the J-10 or the JH-7—pick one. To be honest, I'm not too keen on using the J-11.
