Armed Transport Ships (Part 2)

The Decepticon engineers under Sun Cheng had yet to name the three newly completed warships.

Even their model designation had not been decided.

Internally, however, the Decepticon engineers who had modified these vessels did not consider them a class of warship. Instead, they saw them as transitional vessels, bridging the gap between simple transport spacecraft and military warships with genuine space-combat capabilities.

"No wonder the ammunition bays on both sides are larger, and they're stocked with aircraft cannon rounds. The bomb bay underneath only holds a few dozen missiles, while a large cabin was specially designed in addition to the cockpit..."

Sun Cheng had not quite understood at first, but after studying them carefully for a while, he finally gained a deeper understanding of these three transitional spacecraft.

"The propulsion system was modified. Though their speed is nearly half that of the Hope's, they still possess the ability to travel within a stellar system..."

"The propulsion system was extensively redesigned, and the airframe was heavily modified to increase the cabin's interior space. This spacecraft can now transport up to sixteen Decepticon warriors or nearly a hundred tons of supplies at once..."

"They're equipped with a certain amount of weaponry. Each spacecraft has four sets of missile launchers and two aircraft cannons..."

"Isn't this just an armed transport ship..."

Like the Hope, these three new warships were merely experimental models, so Sun Cheng was not particularly fond of them. Still, they had given him some very good ideas.

No matter how much the Hope was lengthened, widened, or made taller, its size was fixed. After all, it was only a small spacecraft.

But Sun Cheng could have his Decepticon engineers follow this line of thinking and design several medium transport spacecraft with payload capacities of one thousand or even ten thousand
