Reunion (Part 2)

When Onslaught and his group entered Earth's low orbit, satellites launched by Base Two detected them again.

The Earth of today had diverged greatly from the planet Sun Cheng knew in the real world.

Because the frequent alien invasions of the past two or three years had prompted every major power on Earth to substantially increase spending on space exploration and surveillance.

On top of that, Sun Cheng had stirred things up by secretly conducting deals with a country in Europe and another in the Far East.

He had even openly established a Black Market, selling many advanced devices roughly a decade ahead of Earth's current technology to nations around the world.

As a result, the total number of operational artificial satellites in Earth's orbit had now surpassed 1,700.

With such a dense surveillance network, any large-scale Decepticon invasion of Earth would almost certainly be discovered immediately by some nation or faction.

Incidentally, Base Two currently controlled, openly or covertly, more than sixty Earth satellites.

That was why they had been able to reacquire this group of Decepticons shortly after Onslaught arrived on Earth.

Although Sun Cheng did not know why Onslaught and his group had headed straight for the Arctic Circle after arriving on Earth.

It was good news for him, though. If a battle broke out there, at least he would not have to bear the cost of rebuilding.

"Quiet!"

He gave a low shout, cutting off the discussion below.

Only after every Decepticon in the military conference room had turned their attention to him did Sun Cheng speak again. "I've received intelligence that Onslaught's sudden arrival on Earth may threaten our safety. Therefore, I intend to take a group of men to probe him."

Sun Cheng had no intention of concealing it. He was not overly explicit,
