Li Wei suddenly recalled what he had said to Don Quixote.
"If you had my face, you would have died of a venereal disease long ago."
It seemed that was actually the case, no wonder Don Quixote had said "Indeed" at the time.
He looked the two girls up and down. One was white, thin, and tall, wearing a short skirt.
The other girl, who was chewing gum, looked a bit like a mix of white and Latina. Despite her young age, she already possessed an S-curve that most Asians could only dream of.
In particular, the plump buttocks beneath her light-brown waistline were so full they looked like they were about to burst through her jeans. It was estimated that if she sat on an average teenage boy with a "Latina sit," he would have to break his tail to survive.
Faced with the two female students' invitation to watch a glow-in-the-dark football game, if Li Wei said he wasn't tempted, he probably wouldn't even believe himself.
He was a knight appointed by the system, not a monk appointed by the system. The improvement in his physical fitness meant that every time he woke up, he had to suppress his "gun" just to go to the bathroom.
However, the "American style" of conduct still made his head cool down temporarily, and he did not immediately agree to the two girls' invitation.
Despite the protection against plagues provided by his Bronze Body, it was still better to be cautious with these things.
Moreover, Don Quixote had repeatedly warned him about the thousand-layered traps of North American girls, which forced Li Wei to remain vigilant.
Just as Li Wei was about to speak, an exasperated female voice came from behind him:
"Samantha! Adeline! You two bitches!"
As soon as the words fell, a figure squeezed in from the side, placing herself directly between Li Wei and them.
The newcomer was beautiful, wearing a tight yellow cheerleader uniform. The pleated skirt, which was as short as it could possibly be, swayed violently with her movements.
"Do you two not have mirrors at home, or did your brains get flushed down the drain?" She put her hands on her hips, her sharp manicured nails almost poking the nose of the mixed-race girl, Samantha. "I remember saying a few days ago, stay away from him!"
Samantha spat out the gum in her mouth and sneered, "Ooh, look who it is? It's the head cheerleader, Daphne! If you're so interested in him, then what about your boyfriend, the backup quarterback for the varsity team? Did you just dump Evan like that?"
"Evan went to the backup team and can't even play in games now," Daphne rolled her eyes. "I broke up with him the day before yesterday, you idiot. It seems your information is really outdated."
Daphne didn't have any real feelings for Evan; she just liked snatching things that were better than what others had and was obsessed with that sense of superiority.
Now that Evan had lost his starting position and moved to the backup team, it meant that when the Franklin K. Lane High School football team went out for away games, Evan could only stay at school and polish trophies. It was better to dump such a useless thing sooner rather than later.
Besides, it was rumored that the person who replaced him was a super hunk who was handsome and had a physique like a monster; he was the most discussed topic on campus recently.
She turned her head and looked Li Wei up and down.
When she saw Li Wei's forearms and the chest muscles stretching his short sleeves, her originally sharp gaze quickly switched to an aggressive, seductive charm.
As she looked up at Li Wei's face, she almost couldn't help but laugh out loud, then quickly lowered her head and coughed.
"Listen, Li Wei," she said, reaching out a finger to tap the solid muscular contours of his chest. "Um... you don't need to pay attention to the seduction of these bitches. You're the school's star... do you have time to come watch us rehearse? I've been feeling like my muscles are a bit stiff lately, and I can't even dance well."
More and more people gathered around, and Samantha and Adeline clearly didn't want to give up on Li Wei, crowding in from left and right.
Could I stretch with the head cheerleader first, and then teach them how to play football the next day?
Li Wei thought about it, seeing the fire of jealousy in the eyes of boys of all skin colors around him—they looked like they wanted to stab him three times and pierce him six holes—but in the end, he didn't say it out loud.
"Ladies," he said, "um... let me go to class, okay? I have to go to AP Calculus, thanks..."
"Where's your phone?" Daphne asked suddenly. "Let me use it."
She glared at Samantha and Adeline again, leaned in close, and whispered, "I'll deal with you two at lunch," then took Li Wei's phone to dial her own number before returning it to him.
"Call me this weekend."
She looked at the two girls with her nose in the air and left the crowd like a victor, taking her entourage with her.
"I'm afraid of her? I—"
Samantha shouted, unable to swallow her anger, then saw a campus security guard walking over and swallowed the second half of her sentence.
Unwilling to lose face in front of everyone, she left sheepishly, following suit by asking for Li Wei's phone, calling herself, and then leaving with Adeline.
The crowd gradually dispersed, and it took Li Wei some effort to reach the AP Calculus class on the third floor.
The AP courses were basically isolated by Franklin K. Lane High School in an independent space on the third floor.
A security guard was specifically stationed at the entrance. After Li Wei entered through a scan, the clean and tidy walls immediately gave him the feeling of having arrived at a different high school.
The stench of marijuana and cheap perfume in the air had disappeared. Although there was still a musty smell, it was much better than the first floor.
There were even portraits of Einstein and Lincoln hanging in the hallway. Li Wei dared to say that if he called Travis here, he probably wouldn't even be able to tell who Einstein was.
After entering the classroom, Li Wei greeted the teacher, gave a brief self-introduction, and sat in the last row.
Michael and he exchanged a distant greeting with their eyes.
Soon, the bell rang, and Li Wei officially began his first class since arriving in America.
However, this sense of novelty lasted less than five minutes before it vanished. The content of the class was already too basic for Li Wei, so basic that he could calculate an accurate number without even using a calculator.
Judging from the teacher's teaching content, he didn't seem to be a very learned person either, just muddling through in a public high school.
At the very least, the mnemonics Li Wei had encountered in high school back home, such as the most basic "odd changes, even remains," seemed to have no such summaries here in America.
He watched his classmates in boredom: a high school student in the front row who also looked like an international student from China was taking pictures of the textbook—he was using Google's image translation software to translate the math problems into Chinese.
Just then, the phone in Li Wei's pocket vibrated twice.
He leaned back nonchalantly, using the shadow of the desk to block the view, and swiped open the screen.
An iMessage account with Samantha's profile picture added him as a contact and sent him a message:
Samantha: [Li Wei?]
Li Wei: [Yeah.]
Samantha: [I saw this when I went shopping last week, but I can't make up my mind. Can you help me decide?]
Without waiting for Li Wei to reply, she sent two photos from the changing room.
Samantha: [Image, Image]
The first photo was a top-down perspective. Samantha was wearing a nearly translucent white tight-fitting camisole.
Li Wei could clearly see the deep shadow squeezed out by force, as well as the magnificent breasts that seemed ready to break free from their restraints with every breath—a sight most Asians could only dream of.
The second photo showed her wearing a pair of blue high-waisted jeans, standing with her back to the floor-to-ceiling mirror in the fitting room, leaning forward with her legs spread—the rough denim fabric looked like it could burst at any moment, and every stitch seemed to be wailing.
Her Latina heritage gave her a huge advantage in her figure, and she knew exactly how to take photos to maximize that advantage.
Samantha: [What do you think? Do I look better in jeans or a skirt?]
Is the American style actually this open and direct? Li Wei thought. This is completely different from the social circles and styles of high school students in China. How could such a decadent wind affect my firm Daoist heart?
Li Wei: [Just 2 photos, can't see clearly. Any more? Give me some more.]
