Luo Zhengwen is a senior disciple of the Zhao Family Martial Arts Academy and a member of Ershui City's prominent Luo family. His father, the Luo family patriarch, is a late-stage Dark Energy cultivator. Luo's family businesses are rooted in Ershui City, making him unwilling to abandon the city despite the approaching chaos. 21 32

After seeing Wang Sheng master both the Great Tablet Shattering Hand and Stone Stance Technique before crippling Meng Xu, Luo chose to invest in him. He initially offered Wang a nominal Luo-family position worth ten taels of silver per month, then agreed to provide forty taels upfront after Wang requested an advance. 11 12

Luo later praises Wang's martial progress, recommends him to Li Hu and Wei Yu's circle, and offers him a trial—hunting a great tiger or mountain bear alone—to prove himself. Wang declines, citing his own plans and concerns about the Martial Alliance's future. 20 21
