Yoyogi Park was filled with fresh air and lush greenery, with trees rising everywhere.
Even at around eight in the evening, plenty of people were out running, strolling, or resting.
Natsume Chikage and Fujiwara Aoi were strolling through the park together.
Both were good-looking, so quite a few passersby noticed them.
But everyone took them for a couple out on a walk. They might have felt envious, but no one disturbed them.
"Why did you suddenly bring me here?" Chikage asked.
"When I was in middle school, I liked coming here for a run whenever I was in a good mood. This place was part of my entire middle-school life." Aoi looked a little nostalgic and a little shy. "I'm in a good mood today too, so I wanted to bring you here. There's something I want to tell you."
"...What is it?"
"It's still a little early. We haven't reached the spot I want to go to yet," Aoi said shyly.
"Oh." Chikage pressed on. "But you said you're in a good mood. Did something good happen today?"

There were little mobile carts in Yoyogi Park, usually selling food or drinks.
The moment Aoi spotted one selling crepes, she stopped in her tracks.
Pretending it was nothing, she took Chikage's hand, her cheeks glowing red.
"Chikage... this cart's crepes are really good. Let's go try them."
Chikage gave her a curious look but didn't refuse. "Sure."
They walked up to the cart.
The woman running it clearly recognized Aoi at a glance and looked surprised.
"Aoi, is this your boyfriend?"
